Some progress has been made. Starting quarterback Kevin Kolb and middle linebacker Stewart Bradley sat in meetings on Thursday for the first time since suffering concussions.

It might be a small baby step, but it's better than backtracking. It's still highly unlikely either would play Sunday in Detroit.

It took the Eagles' concussed starters four days to finally reached the second step of trainer Rick Burkholder's five-phase plan. They did more rigorous exercises Thursday in a quiet environment and attended their positional meetings.

According to Burkholder's plan, they will be reevaluated every 24 hours, advancing to a new step as long as there is no setback. Next up would be even more rigorous exercising, such as using a treadmill instead of a bicycle.

Coach Andy Reid said Wednesday that Bradley was a bit ahead of Kolb in his recovery.
