After an injury plagued summer, the New York Giants’ first-team offensive line was fully intact for their first practice of the first week of the NFL’s regular season.

Center Shaun O’Hara took off his walking boot and shook off the swelling in his ankle/Achilles and was on the field this morning when the Giants held a light practice to kick off Week 1. And he was practicing with all the regular starters, which was a mild upset considering four of the five of them missed at least one preseason game with an injury during the last month.

Still, despite O’Hara’s ankle, guard Chris Snee’s chronically swelling knee, guard Rich Seubert’s broken hand, and right tackle Kareem McKenzie’s migraine, it looks like the Fab Five will be ready to start against the Carolina Panthers at the Meadowlands on Sunday. Of course, that’s if O’Hara’s ankle problems don’t recur.

"He worked today," Tom Coughlin said. "We’ll see what he’s like tomorrow."
