Texans running back Steve Slaton struggled with fumblin...

Texans running back Steve Slaton struggled with fumbling last season, as well as a nerve problem in his neck. He wound up with a subpar second season after rushing for a franchise-record 1,282 yards as a rookie.

He and the team had downplayed the extent the nerve issue contributed to his fumbling. But after offseason neck surgery to correct the problem, Slaton acknowledged that it was a major factor in his inability to hold onto the ball according to the Associated Press.

Slaton says he couldn't feel his right arm from the thumb to his shoulder. Now that the feeling in his arm has returned, he's confident he can return to top form for the Texans.

Fantasy Impact:

If Slaton regains the ability we saw two years ago, he will be an excellent buy-low candidate. Buyer beware as the likelihood of Running Back By Committee is very possible in Houston.
