Terrance West standing out at Ravens camp

The fans that attended the Ravens' open practice Monday night saw the same thing visitors to the team facility witnessed last week: running back Terrance West repeatedly finding holes and breaking through long runs.

West, the former Towson University standout, entered training camp looking to outlast a crowded roster competition at running back, and earn a spot on the team. He’s not only been the most impressive back so far, he’s probably been the Ravens’ most explosive offensive player.

Fantasy Impact:

West is at least trying to secure a roster spot in a crowded backfield. He'll have to pass Buck Allen and Justin Forsett who seem to be at the top of the depth chart. Rookie fourth-round pick Kenneth Dixon remains sidelined with a knee injury but should make the roster. Trent Richardson (knee) and Lorenzo Taliaferro (foot) are both on the physically unable to perform list.

When the Cardinals signed veteran Zay Jones in the off-season, it created competition for second-year receiver Michael Wilson. But Wilson ran with the starters and led that group with three receptions. He is aiming to build off a rookie season in which he had 38 catches and 565 yards on 58 targets

Fantasy Impact:

Tight end Trey McBride and rookie WR Marvin Harrison Jr. are likely to absorb most of the Cardinals' target share, but if Wilson is playing over Jones, there still might be enough left to make him fantasy relevant. He is currently ranked as the WR60 on 4for4.

Jets WR Malachi Corley to see extra reps with Xavier Gipson's leg injury

Malachi Corley still has a “long way to go” with his route running, Robert Saleh said. The next two weeks will be good for him because he’ll see extra reps with Xavier Gipson hurt (leg injury).

Fantasy Impact:

Extra reps are certainly not a bad sign, but it's still up in the air how much fantasy usage the rookie will have in 2024. If Gipson were to miss extended time —with Mike Williams' availability still up in the air— Corley could scoot up fantasy rankings a little bit.

Lions K Michael Badgley out for season with torn hamstring

Lions K Michael Badgley is out for the rest of the season after tearing a hamstring during practice Thursday and the team deciding to place him on injured reserve.

Fantasy Impact:

The team is set to work out kickers, so no word on who the team is bringing in yet.
