Raiders OC says WR Martavis Bryant not picking up playbook

James Jones said on NFL Network that he talked to Raiders offensive coordinator Greg Olson, and Olson told him that Martavis Bryant has not picked up the playbook.

“I just had a chance to speak with Coach Olson and he said talent-wise, there’s probably nobody that can compete with [Bryant] talent-wise,” Jones said. “But they said he’s not picking up the playbook, and that’s the reason of a little frustration right now because they want to get him on the field but he’s not able to grasp the playbook yet.”

Fantasy Impact: 

Oakland traded a third-round pick for Bryant during the NFL Draft, and it is imperative they get him on the field so as not to have wasted that asset. Jon Gruden's offense projects to be balanced, so there are not as many pass attempts to go around as one would like. Bryant is not on the fantasy radar right now.
