Panthers finally declare Delhomme out; Williams questionable

Kudos to Panthers coach John Fox for not prolonging the obvious. Instead of waiting until Carolina comes through the tunnel Sunday to formally admit what everyone has known most of the week, he announced after practiced today that quarterback Jake Delhomme is out of Sunday's game against Tampa Bay due to a broken finger.

That makes formal the fact that Matt Moore is starting against the Bucs.

Running back Deangelo Williams didn't practice and is listed as questionable. He hasn't practiced all week due to an ankle injury. Wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad, nursing a sore knee, was back at practice and is listed as probable.

In addition to Delhomme, defensive tackle Tank Tyler (knee) is also out.

Doubtful are wide receive Dwayne Jarrett (ankle, didn't practice), defensive end Charles Johnson (pectoral, didn't practice) and defensive back Captain Munnerlyn (concussion, fully participated).

Probable are guard Mackenzy Bernadeau (knee, fully participated), fullback Brad Hoover (ankle, fully participated), linebacker Na'il Diggs (ribs, fully participated), and running back Jonathan Stewart (Achilles, fully participated).
