The Jets are signing a familiar foe to help their banged up wide receiver corps.
Gang Green will be adding veteran Chris Hogan, who won two Super Bowls with the Patriots. Adam Gase confirmed the signing after practice on Sunday after revealing that wideout Vyncint Smith will be seeing a specialist for a core injury suffered recently. The coach also remained non-committal about rookie Denzel Mims’ timetable to return from a hamstring injury suffered recently.
Hogan had eight catches for 67 yards for the Panthers last season and it's possible he's just a placeholder for Smith and Mims until they return. The Jets are very banged up at WR so it's a situation to watch.
