Brian Costello of the New York Post expects Bilal Powell's production to "drop dramatically" in 2018. Costello cites new addition Isaiah Crowell's health as a major reason for this prediction, as well as the emergence of second-year running back Elijah McGuire.

Fantasy Impact: 

This prediction doesn't seem outrageous given the Jets' investment in Crowell (three years, $12 million). If McGuire can prove he can do the third-down work effectively, Powell becomes expendable for the team. The Jets can save $4 million on the cap by cutting Powell.

The Saints placed RB Jamaal Williams on injured reserve Saturday.

Fantasy Impact: 

Williams is now out a minimum of four games due to a hamstring injury. He’ll miss games against the Packers, Buccaneers, Patriots and Texans. Rookie Kendre Miller is expected to make his debut Sunday in Green Bay and the Saints will get Alvin Kamara back from suspension in Week 4.

Browns RB Nick Chubb is believed to have only suffered a torn MCL during Monday’s game against the Steelers.

Fantasy Impact: 

With how the injury looked, this feels like incredible news that he only has one torn ligament instead of three or even all four. His recovery time is expected to be about 6-8 months, which could have him back for minicamp and he very well could be ready for training camp. That’s about the best news we could have gotten from Chubb. For now, it will be Jerome Ford leading the charge in Cleveland’s backfield with Kareem Hunt tagging along.

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is questionable for Monday against the Rams with a calf injury.

Fantasy Impact: 

The Bengals added some insurance Saturday just in case by signing AJ McCarron to their practice squad. Burrow re-aggravated his calf injury from training camp in the Week 2 loss to the Ravens. Burrow missed about a month before returning in time for the season opener. If Burrow can’t go, the Bengals would turn to Jake Browning under center. Certainly a far cry from a fantasy perspective from Burrow, especially against an improved and healthy Rams defense.
