Fisher: Todd Gurley now 'week-to-week'

The Rams likely decided that RB Todd Gurley would sit before Sunday but wanted to keep a little bit of doubt in Washington's minds. So Gurley spent the pregame doing a workout which included running the ladder, some stretching and some jogging. When it was done, he signed some autographs and took pictures with Rams fans on the sideline.

Sitting Gurley was the right move as he closes in on making his return from the torn ACL suffered last November. Next week against Pittsburgh seems like a more reasonable time for that debut as Gurley will get another week to take reps with the first team and continue to get into football shape.

After Sunday's game, Fisher didn't make any promises.

"Todd is going to be week-to-week now," Fisher said. "I thought he had a great week and we just didn’t feel good about today, so we’ll wait and see how things go next week."

Fantasy Impact:

Given the pace the team is bringing Gurley along, even if he is active Week 3 he'll likely be limited. But for owners, it would be a step in the right direction. There continues to be mixed reports from beat writers on Gurley's impact this year and some say we may not fully see it until next year. But if Gurley is active, it should become harder and harder to limit him in games once he shows what he can do on the field.
