DeAngelo Williams (ankle) to get MRI

The Steelers got the help they needed from the Bills and took care of their own business against the Browns, leaving them with a Saturday Wild Card game against the Bengals in Cincinnati.

Now they just need to figure out if running back DeAngelo Williams will be available to help in the effort to extend their season at least another week. Williams left Sunday’s game with an ankle injury that had him standing in the tunnel in a walking boot congratulating his teammates after the game.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Williams will have an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the injury and help determine whether he will be able to play on Saturday night.

Fantasy Impact:

If Williams can’t go, the Steelers would turn to Fitzgerald Toussaint and Jordan Todman in the backfield. It very well may mean the Steelers turn to a pass-heavy attack against division rival Bengals in the opening round of the playoffs.
