Could WR Dez Bryant Be Ready For Fourth Preseason Game?

Rookie Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant arrived in California minus the boot on his right ankle. He began rehab work with trainer Britt Brown today.

Jerry Jones said Saturday morning that Bryant could be back sooner than expected.

"He’s doing well, and we expected him to do well, by the way," Jones said. "We had expectations, and I am hopeful we will have him back for those last two preseason games."

When Bryant was injured on July 30, the Cowboys said he would be out 4-6 weeks. The Cowboys play Houston on Aug. 28 and Miami on Sept. 2. Their season opener is Sept. 12.

Bryant was injured while trying to catch an errant pass and cornerback Orlando Scandrick fell on him.

Fantasy Impact:

With many fantasy drafts taking place at the end of August or the first part of September, Bryant's progress will be important to track. If you are the type of owner who likes high-risk, high-reward players, Bryant is one to target. He'll probably start slow, but could be an impact player as the 2010 season progresses.
