Cold weather is concern for Stephen Jackson, back

The cold weather expected this weekend in Chicago concerns St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson, who is still bothered by back spams.

With a high temperature of 39 degrees forecast for Sunday when the Rams play the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field, Jackson could have a hard time keeping his back muscles loose.

"It's definitely going to be a struggle,'' Jackson said. "It's going to be difficult to keep myself warm. I have thought about it, but you hope that you are able to grit it out.''

Jackson was able to play last Sunday at home against the Seattle Seahawks despite missing practice all week. He has yet to practice this week other than a walk-through period Thursday.

"Last week, it was a new injury, so it was flaring up really, really bad,'' Jackson said. " I was able to do some walk-through today, I've been studying film. I'm still preparing as if I'm playing Sunday, so if I don't play, I will be more surprised than anybody.''

Jackson said his back muscles feel "compressed.''
