Chiefs expect to use Spencer Ware on offense Week 16

The Kansas City Chiefs survived nicely Sunday against the Ravens without running back Spencer Ware. He got in for two plays on special teams in the Chiefs’ 34-14 victory, but didn’t play on offense.

In the bigger picture, the Chiefs need Ware. He’s been a nice complement to Charcandrick West.

Coach Andy Reid indicated that Ware, who injured his ribs in a game against the Chargers two weeks ago, would be ready to resume his normal offensive role this coming Sunday against the Browns at Arrowhead Stadium.

Fantasy Impact:

With Ware on the sideline in Baltimore, the Chiefs went with West and Knile Davis at running back. West rushed for 76 yards, including a 38-yard touchdown. Davis had 14 yards on five carries. Ware should at the very least take over Davis' role next week.

Chargers HC Jim Harbaugh says RB Kimani Vidal will be "next man up".

Also says Hortiz will be scouring the market to see what is available at the position.

Related players: Omarion Hampton, Najee Harris, Hassan Haskins

Fantasy Impact:

With Harris lost for the season and Hampton expected to see a larger role ahead of Haskins, it means Vidal is just another injury away from possibly seeing significant snaps.

Chiefs hopeful to have WR Xavier Worthy (shoulder) for Week 4

Ahead of Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens (4:25 p.m. ET, CBS), the Chiefs are optimistic Xavier Worthy will be able to play a limited role for the offense while wearing a small harness. Patrick Mahomes and HC Andy Reid say they are confident the Chiefs can continue to be successful on deep passes with Tyquan Thornton running routes alongside Worthy. By Week 7, Mahomes' dropbacks could feature him having a combination of quality options -- such as Travis Kelce, Thornton, Worthy, Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown.

Fantasy Impact:

Slowly the Chiefs offense is starting to get healthy and back to what everyone envisioned at the start of the season. Worthy has a chance to play in Week 4 but the team is already saying he'll be limited, so fantasy owners will want to monitor just how much Worthy will play or maybe in what situations.

Titans HC Brian Callahan no longer calling plays

After an ugly start to the season, Titans head coach Brian Callahan has fired himself as the offensive play caller in Tennessee.

The team announced today that quarterbacks coach Bo Hardegree will call plays.

Fantasy Impact:

Titans offensive coordinator Nick Holz will remain in place, an unusual arrangement in which a team has an offensive coordinator but another assistant gets the play calling responsibility, the story points out. Callahan went 3-14 last season and so the leash may be getting shorter for him and his staff.
