SEA RB Carlos Hyde - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs Dolphins

Chris Carson was a limited participant in practice Wednesday and will be worth monitoring as he recovers from a knee injury suffered in Sunday's win over the Cowboys. If Carson can't go or ends up very limited, Hyde would take over the early-down role for the Seahawks and likely see more work than Travis Homer, giving him the slight edge in Seattle's backfield just by more volume. Both Hyde and Homer would be possible flex plays if Carson is out.

SEA RB Carlos Hyde - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs Cowboys

Seven seems to be the lucky number thus far for Hyde. As in seven touches each of his first two games in 2020. That's going to be the script going forward, making Hyde a deep, touchdown-dependent option.

HOU RB Carlos Hyde - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Tennessee Titans
The Buccaneers top-ranked run defense shut down Carlos Hyde last Saturday, limiting him to 27 yards on 17 carries. While the 1.6 yards-per-attempt was a season-low, it wasn’t a total bust for Hyde owners and he managed to score his sixth TD of ’19. In the win against the Titans two weeks ago he ran for 104 yards and a TD on 26 rushes and should have a bounce-back outing at home.

HOU RB Carlos Hyde - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
In the win against the Titans last week, Carlos Hyde registered his third 100-yard game of the year. He finished with 104 yards and scored what turned out to be the game-winning TD, the fifth time he’s found paydirt in ’19. Hyde’s 26 carries tied a season-high and it was the first time he’s posted more than 20 attempts since Week 6. It may be a bit tougher for him and the Houston ground game on Saturday in Tampa against the league’s top run defense. Consider Hyde an RB2 start.

HOU RB Carlos Hyde - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Tennessee Titans
Although the Texans fell behind by multiple scores early last Sunday versus Denver, they didn’t completely abandon the running game, as Carlos Hyde received 14 rushes for 73 yards, his highest total since Week 9. While he’s still easily on pace for a 1,000-yard season (he may reach that mark at Tennessee) and averaging 15 carries per game, he has just one TD the past seven contests. The Titans are No. 10 at stopping the run, making Hyde an RB2 play.

HOU RB Carlos Hyde - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Denver Broncos
New England’s defense limited Carlos Hyde to a season-low 17 yards on 10 carries last week. It was a disappointing game all around, as it was the first time he’d failed to bust out for at least a 10-yard rush in ’19. Over the last six contests, Hyde has just one 100-yard outing and one TD. Denver’s defense is ranked 20th at stopping the run so expect a better performance from the Texans No. 1 RB at home on Sunday.

HOU RB Carlos Hyde - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. New England Patriots
With the help of a strong fourth quarter, Carlos Hyde posted a decent fantasy game last Thursday versus the Colts. In the win, he finished with 16 carries for 67 yards, the eighth time in ’19 he’s rushed for at least 60 yards. Hyde has only one TD in the past five contests and likely won’t find the end zone versus the New England stout run defense. He makes for an RB2 play at home.
