Young denies suicidal thoughts

Titans QB Vince Young considered quitting football for the rest of the 2008 season, but he did not contemplate suicide, he told ESPN's E:60.

Police were told to look for the Titans QB on Sept. 8, 2009 after he did not show up to undergo an MRI on his knee and did not tell anybody where he was going. After Young was found, a police report surfaced which said that Titans HC Fisher and the QB's therapist told police that Young had mentioned suicide before leaving his home with a gun. The coach later said the situation was overblown.

"I didn't want to kill myself. That's absurd," Young told Michael Smith on E:60, which will air July 28 (ESPN, 7 p.m. ET). "Because I love my life, like I said. I love everything going on in my life. I love my family. I love everything that's going to happen to me in the future.
