No fracture in RGIII's ankle

Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III told reporters today that he does not have a fractured bone in his left ankle and that he will know more about how long he will be out with the injury later today.

Griffin said that it was "positive news." He will not have to undergo surgery, a procedure that likely wold have ended his season.

Fantasy Impact:

Looks like the updated, unofficial timetable is 6-8 weeks in terms of how long RGIII will be out. The team said a real timetable won't be known for another couple of weeks but they don't plan to put Griffin on season-ending IR. Kirk Cousins will get the start in Week 3, and it's a great matchup against the Eagles.
