Eagles Will Use Michael Vick as Third Quarterback

Pro Football Talk - [Full Article]

Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid had said on Friday that quarterback Kevin Kolb will start against the Falcons. The fact that Michael Vick took only limited practice reps this week reinforces that view.

But with Vick listed as questionable, the question is whether he'll be No. 2 or No. 3 on the depth chart. Vick is expected to be the third man, which means that he most likely won't play.

Each team can designate an emergency quarterback above the 45-man roster, but the emergency quarterback's ability to enter the game is restricted. Before the fourth quarter, if the emergency quarterback plays, the other quarterbacks can't return.

That said, Vick surely wants to play against his former team - and the Eagles surely could use him.

Fantasy Impact:

Expect Kevin Kolb to go the distance unless he looks as dreadful as Ryan Leaf or JaMarcus Russell. The Eagles will want to get Vick completely healthy before they put him back on the field.
