Bucs sign Bobby Rainey to a two-year deal

Pro Football Talk - [Full Article]

The Buccaneers weren’t at any risk of losing running back Bobby Rainey because he was set to be an exclusive rights free agent, but the team decided they wanted to enter into a longer relationship with a player who flashed some ability late last season.

The Bucs announced that they have signed Rainey to a two-year deal designed to keep him in Tampa through 2015.

Fantasy Impact:

From Week 10 to Week 17, Rainey was the #11 RB in standard formats, gaining 559 total yards to go along with six TDs (5 rush, 1 rec) in eight games. He'll likely serve as the primary backup to Doug Martin and is a good handcuff for Martin owners.
