Week 14 Essential NFL Practice News & Notes for Friday
Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (left thumb, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 14. Fitzpatrick has accounted for at least two touchdowns (rush/pass) in seven of his last eight games, with the lone exception being the Oakland game, where he played only 11% of the snaps due to injury. The Titans are 26th in QB aFPA, so Fitz is looking like a safe start this week.
Browns QB Johnny Manziel (right elbow, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 14. Manziel will start against the 49ers and is a decent start considering his relatively effective play this season.
Chargers QB Philip Rivers (foot, probable) took full practice reps again Friday and is probable for Week 14. Rivers will be fine to face the Chiefs, though he’s not an attractive start given the matchup and his previous performance against Kansas City (178 yards, 1 INT).
Broncos RB C.J. Anderson (ankle, questionable) missed practice all week and is questionable for Week 14. With Anderson sidelined on Friday, he’s looking like a longshot to play. Hillman (foot, questionable) will get the start, per HC Gary Kubiak, who said he looked “fine” on Friday. But he’s likely to split time with Juwan Thompson. Complicating matters, the Broncos play late on Sunday.
