Jahmyr Gibbs and Bijan Robinson are usually the top two players being selected in fantasy football drafts, regardless of scoring format. The third selection in a 12-team ESPN PPR league is where the intrigue begins. The top wide receivers will be available, which is ideal from a team-building perspective.

My Plan of Attack When Drafting 3rd in 12-Team ESPN PPR League

Roster Settings: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (WR/RB/TE), 1 Kicker, 1 DEF, 6 bench spots

I’ll be taking a wide receiver first, so the running back position should thin out considerably by the time I pick again in the second round. With that in mind, I’m going to draft wide receivers early, then try to patch together the running back position in the later rounds. I’m also open to taking a top tight end early if the board falls that way.
