An Expert's Cheatsheet to Dominating your 2026 CBS Fantasy Draft
Editors note:

The biggest distinction for CBS fantasy football is that the default is standard scoring. I think standard scoring is a bit of a misnomer at this point. Our default assumption at 4for4 is half-PPR, with almost every league I play in providing some scoring for a reception. But with volume being relatively less important for CBS leagues, touchdowns are king.

Top Projected Offenses in 2026

With that in mind, multiple sportsbooks already have projected game totals and spreads for essentially every NFL game this season. For example, the Rams are projected to score the most points in the league this season at 26.6 points per game. Alternatively, we’ve got the Cardinals all the way down at 18.4 points per game.

It’s obviously a bit too simplistic to say only draft players from the best offenses. That’s because CBS ADP already does a good job of baking in projected offensive efficiency. But standard-scoring leagues can often feel like touchdown-only leagues when you’re playing in them. In my experience, the best way to play this is to simply avoid the bottom five or so teams in implied points (those deep in the cleverly worded “Bad” quadrant of the graph above).

These median implied-point projections are the best we have but aren’t perfect. The Patriots last year absolutely crushed their implied points with the emergence of Drake Maye. But generally, it feels like the sportsbooks know which offenses have a chance to be truly terrible. So, instead of taking Malik Washington, a WR with an incredibly low target depth on the 29th-ranked Dolphins…just take someone else.
