Konata Mumpfield (LAR) Over 11.5 Receiving Yards (-114 FD, fine at 12.5 DK, best at 8.5 HR, 9.5 MGM)
Mumpfield quietly stepped into a real role last week, running 19 routes compared to just four for Tutu Atwell after Davante Adams left early. That alone would be enough to at least put him on the radar, but the coaching quotes are what really sell this spot.
Sean McVay, on December 16th, said, “Konata Mumpfield has done a great job,” and OC Mike LaFleur followed that up the next day with extremely strong praise, specifically comparing Mumpfield’s lower-half mechanics and mental approach to Davante Adams. That’s not coach-speak you hand out lightly, especially for a young receiver.
The Rams are likely to lean into 13 personnel, but even there, Puka has only run a route on roughly one-third of those dropbacks, leaving room for rotation snaps. There are plenty of unknowns, but this line is simply too low. This is a true “one play gets it done” bet, and if Mumpfield absorbs even a chunk of Davante’s role, alt overs are very much in play.
