We’ve been spoiled with football this week. While a matchup between the Broncos and Commanders certainly isn’t the best game on the schedule, it does set up a fun stretch for fans to watch two top AFC teams on back-to-back nights, with Sunday night’s Broncos game followed by the Patriots on Monday Night Football. Questions linger about whether the 9–2 Broncos are the real deal and have what it takes to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender, and how they play down the stretch will have considerable implications for their playoff hopes, with a first-round bye well within reach. On the other side are the Washington Commanders, who have struggled all season to meet expectations due to both suboptimal play and a bevy of injuries, most notably to starting quarterback Jayden Daniels.
