Fantasy Football Week 13 Good Vibes, Bad Vibes (Who Should I Start)
Thanksgiving vibes take me right back to my childhood and make me miss my dad. We had large gatherings for every holiday, but Thanksgiving was always a favorite. There were 50+ of us, courtesy of my father’s side of the family, at massive long tables outside on the patio. (It was Miami, so that’s possible). We always had dinner at halftime of the second NFL game, which led to most of us back inside watching the second half together.
By far the most memorable of all the Thanksgiving Day games was the 1993 contest against the Cowboys. For those who weren’t around yet or don't remember, Dallas was up 14-13 over Miami when Jimmie Johnson blocked the Dolphins' go-ahead field goal. The Cowboys were celebrating the victory on the sideline when Dallas DT Leon Lett, for some reason, tried to pick up the football in the snow, but was unable to snag it. Now a live ball, it was recovered by Miami, and kicker Pete Stoyanvich made the second attempt with three seconds left, and the Fins came out victorious. That incredible sound of 50+ people screaming in my living room is something I will never forget.
Here’s a look at that infamous play, which happened just 10 months after Leon Lett committed one of the largest blunders in Super Bowl history.

Good Vibes
Quarterbacks
Patrick Mahomes @ Cowboys
I get it, listing Patrick Mahomes as a start is a no-brainer, but he’s actually been a low-end QB2 over the last four weeks, averaging just 13.6 fantasy points per game in that time frame. A Thursday matchup against Dallas is what his managers should be thankful for, as the Cowboys' defense is dead last against QBs in 2025, yielding 24.2 in schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed (aFPA) to the position per week.
Bo Nix @ Commanders
He struggled a bit in the fantasy department the two weeks before the Broncos bye with an average of just 9.2 fantasy points in Weeks 10 and 11, but the vibes are good for Bo Nix to bounce back this week in Washington. The Commanders' defense has allowed five of their last six quarterbacks to score 19.9 fantasy points or more, and they currently sit 30th in QB aFPA heading into Week 13. Nix has top 10 potential on Sunday night.
