Let's talk about another NBA DraftKings Pick 6 play. Before we get into it, here's a quick explanation of how the game works and the awesome prizes you can win if you do well.

DraftKings Pick 6 Payouts

Example: a 5-Pick NBA contest with a $10,000 total prize pool might have a prize structure like:

  • 5/5 Correct Splits $8,000
  • 4/5 Correct Splits $2,000

For example, if there are 320 entries in a contest and you get 5 out of 5 picks right, each entry wins $25 ($8,000 divided by 320 equals $25). If you had 2 entries among the 320 winners, your total prize would be $50 ($25 times 2 equals $50). If there are fewer entries in a contest, you could win even more. However, if many more entries get 5/5 correct, the prize could be smaller.

DraftKings Pick6 NBA Plays (3/28)

We haven’t had any luck with our recent DraftKings Pick6 NBA Plays, but nonetheless, I’m back at it again.

Derrick White more than 2.5 3-Pointers Made

Derrick didn’t dress when these teams met on Monday. But the last time White played Atlanta, he drained five 3-pointers on ten attempts. This is not all that surprising, considering the Hawks allow opponents to shoot the third-highest percentage from 3-point land and the fourth-most 3-pointers made per game.

He’s made three or more 3-pointers in five of his last six games and in 20 of the last 31. Even more compelling is that every time he’s made multiple 3-pointers during this stretch, it’s been three or more, with his last game having just two made 3-point attempts coming back on January 8th. Simply put, if Derrick is hot from bonus land, he’s getting over this number.

Giannis Antetokounmpo less than 0.5 3-Pointers Made

I’m playing with fire trying to play an under on a single 3-pointer again this week but this is the correct side. Giannis is currently shooting 29% from beyond the arc this year, and his 1.7 attempts per game are his fewest since the 2015-16 season. Antetokounmpo has made just one made 3-pointer over his last six games, and in two of them, he didn’t attempt a single one.

Tonight, he’s playing the NBA’s no.1 defense against the 3-pointer, allowing opponents to shoot just 34.5%. All the data says to play the under here, which I’m going to do, but there is one significant trend I’m worried about. The Greek Freak has made at least one 3-pointer in seven straight games against the Pelicans, which isn’t a sustainable streak… is it?! Let’s hope not.

Zion Williamson less than 26.5 Points

Zion has been on a tear recently, scoring an average of 26 points per game over his last 10 and going over this prop in six of them. That said, he’s averaging just under 23 points on the season, and scored 23 during his only game against Milwaukee so far this year. In fact, Zion has gone over this total in just one of his previous five matchups against the Bucks.

Williamson is a tremendous player, who draws a ton of contact and gets to the free throw line frequently. But his limited to non-existent game beyond the arc makes high scoring nights difficult. Milwaukee isn’t great on defense by any means, but they are top 10 in effective field goal % against and defend inside the arc better than beyond it.
