IDP Matchups & Sleepers: Week 16

Each week, I'm going to go through our IDP rankings and look at some of the top matchups and sleeper picks for the week at each position. My IDP brother-in-arms, Ross Miles, will have your IDP waiver wire covered. If you have specific questions pertaining to your lineup, you can always refer to the ranks or hit me up on Twitter @Mike_Woellert.

I can't believe it, but it's Championship Week (for most leagues). I hope you're playing for your title this week! Now, let's see what Week 16 has in store for us.

Linebacker

Darius Leonard, ILB, Indianapolis Colts vs. Carolina Panthers

Darius Leonard has a fantastic matchup in Championship Week. Even though Leonard missed some games this season, he still hit the 100-tackle mark and is recording a 15% tackle rate. He's recorded nine or more tackles in three straight games and faces a Panthers offense allowing the most points to the LB position. Carolina is also allowing 16 tackles per game to opposing ILBs.

Deion Jones, ILB, Atlanta Falcons vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Jones had another nine-tackle game last week and has hit the 100-mark. He's producing a solid 12.4% tackle rate - including 64 solo tackles. I still like the Jaguars to continue to run the ball with Leonrd Fournette, which is going to keep Jones busy. The Jaguars are allowing the seventh-most points to the LB position, while also allowing 14 tackles per game to the ILB spot.

Joe Schobert, ILB, Cleveland Browns vs. Baltimore Ravens

I hope you were able to overcome Schobert's five tackle game last week to get to Week 16's plus-matchup. Schobert dominated the Ravens in their first go around in Week 4 - 17 tackles and a sack. On the year, Schobert is recording a 2:1 solo-to-assist tackle ratio and a 12.6% tackle rate. Baltimore is allowing the fourth-most points to the LB position and 14 tackles per game to ILBs.

Todd Davis, ILB, Denver Broncos vs. Detroit Lions

Keep riding the Todd Davis hot streak. Davis hasn't had fewer than 10 tackles in a game since Week 8. He's notched 114 tackles and is recording a 14.4% tackle rate this season. The Lions have been a favorable matchup for linebackers - allowing the fifth-most points to the position and 14 tackles per game. I like Davis as an LB2.

Sleeper

Ryan Anderson, OLB, Washington Redskins vs. New York Giants

Anderson has been turning in some big plays for the Redskins and could be an asset in big play scoring formats this week. He has sacks in three of his last four games and is recording a 10% pressure rate this season. He should lineup on Mike Remmers's side of the line. Remmers has allowed 40 pressures this season and is susceptible to giving up a sack or two Eli this week.
