Streaming Kickers: Week 10 Targets
We’re a kicker-friendly site at 4for4 and I’m here to provide a safe space for those who still play in leagues that utilize the kicker position. In fact, using kicker to your advantage is a great way to get a leg up on your opponents and gain potential league-winning points from week to week.
Focusing on team implied point totals, we can get a cumulative idea of how that offense will perform when it comes to settling for field goals, distance of kicks, and the like. For a more detailed explanation on using Vegas odds for successfully streaming kickers, I suggest checking out 4for4’s DFS Playbook Strategy article, which is packed with info on the most profitable way to predict the position.
Week 9 was another productive one for the stream, as three of my five recommendations were among the top-14 kickers in fantasy points, led by Brett Maher’s 15 points as the fantasy K3. Through nine weeks, our optimal streamer has 118 fantasy points, good enough for the overall fantasy K1 on the season.
In order to provide advice you can actually implement, candidates for streaming must be owned in no more than 40% of Yahoo! fantasy leagues. As always, check 4for4’s rankings and our signature Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed (aFPA) metric when making weekly decisions on any position.
Top Streaming Picks
Matt Gay (Buccaneers) vs. Cardinals
Gay is K7 on the season, thanks to the fruitful combination of Bruce Arians' assertive offensive scheme and Jameis Winston’s tendency to not get the job done sometimes in the red zone. This week he’ll see Arizona at home, where his team is favored by 4.5 points, with the second-highest implied team total of the week at 28.50 points.
Free in 91% of Yahoo! leagues, Gay is my top streaming leg of Week 10.
