DraftKings Week 2 GPP Breakdown

Below are the top candidates at each position to have exposure to in tournaments on DraftKings in Week 2. As you read, keep in mind what we learned last week and our DraftKings GPP Guidelines. The Week 2 slate features a limited supply of inexpensive RBs guaranteed touch volume, and as a result, you'll probably have to spend a bit more than usual at the position. The opportunity exists to save at TE, however, with a plethora of options below $4,000. Now that we've seen a week of football and not all prices have completely adjusted, I anticipate utilizing a larger player pool in Week 2 than in most weeks, which is reflected in the amount of players listed in each "others to consider" section.

QB

Cam Newton $7,900 vs. SF

Fresh off a long rest, Newton’s Panthers own Week 2’s highest implied total (29.25) as of this writing, largely due to the increased play volume Carolina will see going against Chip Kelly (his teams finished in the top-two in plays allowed in each of the last three years). Dating back to 2014, Newton has played in six games as a favorite by seven or more and averages 3.17 passing TDs, 0.5 rushing TDs, and 308.5 combined passing and rushing yards in those games.
