Raybon's Review: What We Learned From Week 1 DFS on FanDuel & DraftKings

Analyzing the prior week's results is one of the most valuable investments of your time as a DFS player. In this space, I will deconstruct the winning lineups from FanDuel and DraftKings' biggest GPPs. I will also list general DFS takeaways from the past week.

DraftKings

Week 1 Winning Millionaire Maker Lineup

RandyRanderson1 followed what I generally recommended as the optimal GPP lineup construction strategy, saving cash at RB and paying up at WR. The cheapest WR in this lineup (Willie Snead, $4,800) is still more expensive than the most expensive RB (Spencer Ware, $4,400).

This lineup also proved once again that one chalk play won't hurt you at RB, which is why I recommended Ware as a GPP play despite him projecting to be chalk. In fact, over half of the players in the winning Milli' Maker lineup were recommended plays in 4for4's DraftKings Week 1 GPP Breakdown, including three 30-point scorers (Ware, Drew Brees, Brandin Cooks).
