UFC Dallas Pena vs Nunes: 3 Props to Target at Prize Picks

The UFC is in Dallas this week featuring a pair of rematches in the main and co-main events. We have been hot as of late hitting our last seven picks. Looking at this card, we will once again target the takedown lines as we try to keep the streak rolling.

UFC Dallas Pena vs Nunes: 3 Props to Target at Prize Picks

Brandon Moreno over 1 takedown.

The first rematch of the night takes place with Brandon Moreno versus Kai Kara-France. Both of these fighters have evolved since their first meeting. In that fight, Moreno did not take down Kara-France. A change in fight cams for Moreno should make for a more detailed and nuanced game plan. Kara-France offers crips boxing with power coming out of City Kickboxing. With knockouts in his last two fights, Kara-France will offer the biggest threat on the feet. With that in mind, expect James Krause to employ a grappling heavy attack for Moreno. Again we have five rounds to hit this line.

Amanda Nunes over 1.5 takedowns.

A lot of early money has come in on the side of Julianna Pena. Nunes obviously had an off night, but it was the semblance of quitting that resonates with fans leading up to this fight. Pena likely had her best night when Nunes had her worst. I believe if these women fought 10 times Nunes would win nine. A motivated Nunes has come into this fight in shape and will look to slow the pace and take this one to the mat. Provided she doesn’t finish this one early, she will have five rounds to get two takedowns. Nunes averages over 2.5 takedowns per 15 minutes and Pena gets taken down two times per 15 minutes. The numbers and extended rounds support this line hitting.

Orion Cosce over 1.5 takedowns.

Orion Cosce takes on Blood Diamond in the first fight of the night. Blood Diamond is a singularly skilled kickboxer that was unable to show much in his debut against Jeremiah Wells. Wells was able to get Blood Diamond to the ground once on five takedowns. Cosce is a much better wrestler than Wells and should look to get the fight to the ground from the start. Cosce has completed three of his seven takedown attempts thus far in his UFC career. The main cause for concern in this line is Cosce missed weight, which is cause for concern for a fighter with an already questionable gas tank.
