Week 1 vs Colts
Tyrod Taylor makes his first NFL start this Sunday and in case you were wondering, he is not a rookie. He actually played four years with the Ravens and threw just 35 passes. It's a feel-good story he is finally getting his chance, but him winning the job isn't exactly an underdog story considering who he was going up against.
Taylor is really an unknown at this point, but he rates as one of the lowest starting quarterbacks in Week 1. He will face an average Colts pass defense so he has a chance to make some plays and put some decent numbers up. But, it will be a wait-and-see situation for Taylor as the season goes on.
UPDATE
When we started writing these previews for the season, we skipped Tyrod Taylor because he was probably going to be a third-string QB. But funny things happen in training camp. Taylor has won the Bills starting job.
Before you start drafting Taylor, you must remember there isn't much of a track record with him, so the leash could be short. Veterans Matt Cassel and former starter E.J. Manuel are waiting in the wings in case Taylor stumbles.
The bottom line is Taylor is the starter for Week 1, but everything after that is still an unknown.
