BUF QB Tyrod Taylor - Week 16, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs Miami
The Browns game did not produce the numbers we expected for Tyron Taylor. He only threw for 174 yards and a touchdown. The Bills just didn't need him to do any more than that. He did rush for 49 yards, which was his highest total since Week 6, but he did not reach the end zone.

Taylor will face the Dolphins, who are 24th in aFPA to quarterbacks. In the first meeting back in Week 7, Taylor threw for 228 yards and touchdown and also ran for a score. You can probably expect something similar Saturday, but that's not enough to consider him for your starting lineup. Keep Taylor on the bench for Week 16.

BUF QB Tyrod Taylor - Week 15, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs Cleveland
Tyrod Taylor threw for 228 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. He had a lot of garbage points in the fourth quarter, so that salvaged his fantasy day. His running stats were not relevant as the Steelers limited him to two yards and zero TDs (he had scored five rushing touchdowns in the previous six games). Taylor does have a groin injury, but is expected to play.

Taylor has a great matchup this week against the Browns, who are 31st in aFPA to quarterbacks. It hasn't happened often this season, but Taylor is a great play this week because of that matchup. Start him as a solid QB1 for Week 15.

BUF QB Tyrod Taylor - Week 14, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs Pittsburgh
Tyrod Taylor posted his third straight game with under 200 passing yards and threw zero touchdowns and had one interception against Oakland. He did rush for 43 yards and scored a touchdown, but also had a fumble. Overall, Taylor wasn't very good and hasn't been in the second half of the season. He is also dealing with a groin injury, but is expected to play Sunday.

Taylor will face a much-improved Steelers defense, who are fifth in aFPA to quarterbacks. He has not really been in consideration too much lately to play in your lineup and that continues this week against Pittsburgh where he is ranked a solid QB2.

BUF QB Tyrod Taylor - Week 13, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Oakland
Last week was another lackluster fantasy performance for Tyrod Taylor, who only threw 18 passes for 166 yards. He did manage a touchdown and didn't throw a pick this week. However, he did rush for 38 yards and a touchdown to help his cause. Taylor has not thrown multiple touchdowns in a game since Week 6 and has eclipsed 200+ yard passing twice in the last 7 games.

Taylor will face the Raiders on the road, who are 12th in aFPA to quarterbacks. Buffalo got Sammy Watkins back last week and he did make an impact, so this should help Taylor (but not enough to start him for Week 13). Keep him on the bench as a high-end QB2.

BUF QB Tyrod Taylor - Week 12, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs Jacksonville
It continues to be a rollercoaster season for Tyrod Taylor. It's not all his fault, as the Bills have been hit hard with injuries to their skill players on offense. Last week, he threw for 166 yards, zero touchdowns and an interception

Taylor will face the Jaguars defense this week, which is ranked ninth in aFPA to quarterbacks. He is not expected to have a big game this Sunday, although his numbers should be better than last week. Still, keep him on the bench as a high-end QB2 for Week 12.

BUF QB Tyrod Taylor - Week 11, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Cincinnati
The results were mixed for the first half of the season for Tyrod Taylor. He threw for less than 200 yards in 5 of 9 games and had four games where he wasn't responsible for multiple touchdowns. Taylor has scored three rushing touchdowns the last three game, which boosts his fantasy standing.

Taylor has a great matchup for Week 11 facing the Bengals, who are 30th in aFPA to quarterbacks. However, the fact that we don't know which Tyrod Taylor will show up each week gives owners some uncertainty.

Although the favorable matchup this week helps his ranking, he still is only a high-end QB2 for Week 11 against Cincinnati.

BUF QB Tyrod Taylor - Week 9, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Seattle
Tyrod Taylor's second time around against the Patriots didn't go as well. He completed only 50 percent of his passes for 183 yards and zero touchdowns in the Bills loss. The lack of offensive weapons is definitely hurting Taylor with his No. 1 receiver and running back out of the lineup.

Things won't get any easier this week when Buffalo travels to visit the 12th man in Seattle on Monday Night Football. The Seahawks are eighth in aFPA to quarterbacks, and considering how much Taylor and the Bills offense has struggled on the road, this won't be pretty for Buffalo. Keep Taylor on the bench for Week 9.

Thursday, November 3, 2016 - 10:57pm
BUF QB Tyrod Taylor - Week 8, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. New England
Tyrod Taylor was a little off last week against Miami, completing only 50% of his passes. He still threw for 221 yards and threw a touchdown while running for another. The Bills took another blow with Robert Woods now injured, which means Taylor will be throwing to a bunch of no-names and also probably be without RB LeSean McCoy

Taylor will face the Patriots and in three previous starts, including one this season, he has thrown for a minimum of 233 yards. He also has thrown four touchdowns and three INTs in that span.

Even with the Pats ranked 24th in aFPA to quarterbacks, you have to wonder who the playmakers will be for Buffalo with all the injuries. Taylor will be affected, so keep him on the bench as a QB2 for Week 8.

Thursday, October 27, 2016 - 11:09pm
BUF QB Tyrod Taylor - Week 7, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Miami
Tyrod Taylor had his second straight multi-touchdown game last week, but only threw for 179 yards. He did run for 68 yards, which was his second highest total of the season, so that helped his fantasy owners in Week 6. We've already had some bad news for the Buffalo offense as LeSean McCoy will not play Sunday, and not having him in the lineup will hurt Taylor to a degree.

The Dolphins are 13th in aFPA to quarterbacks in 2016 and did a good job limiting the Steelers passing game last week. Everything is pointing towards a tough game for Taylor, so keep him on your bench for Week 7 as a QB2.

Friday, October 21, 2016 - 9:35am
BUF QB Tyrod Taylor - Week 6, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs San Francisco
The result in Los Angeles last week was a Bills victory. However, even with two touchdown passes in the game, Tyrod Taylor's overall numbers weren't very good. He completed only 12-of-23 passes for 124 yards and only ran for 28 yards. I am sure Tayor will take team success over his personal numbers, but that doesn't help his fantasy owners. Taylor is only averaging 179 passing yards per game with six TD passes and 2 INTs. There is also the issue with Sammy Watkins, the Bills best receiver, being out with injury.

The Bills are home against the 49ers this week and are 19th in aFPA to quarterbacks. It doesn't feel like Taylor is going to be a fantasy force on offense like some predicted. He is really playing more as a game manager, which was his role for a lot of 2015.

Keep Taylor on the bench as a solid QB2 for Week 6 against San Fran.
