BUF QB Tyrod Taylor - Week 13, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs Houston
Tyrod Taylor had one of this best performances of the season throwing for 291 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions. It was his first multi-touchdown game since Week 3 and he did it despite being banged up. He is listed as questionable for Week 13 with a bad shoulder, but should play.

The Texans will be a tough challenge as they are 3rd in aFPA to quarterbacks and have been playing at a high level in recent weeks. Although Taylor's overall fantasy numbers were impressive last week, the matchup is not favorable so he should remain on the bench as a low-end QB2 on Sunday.

BUF QB Tyrod Taylor - Week 12, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Kansas City
Tyrod Taylor had decent passing numbers against New England last week, throwing for 233 passing yards. However, he did not throw a touchdown, which obviously hurt anyone who had him in their lineup. Taylor is listed as questionable for Week 12 with a bad shoulder he injured against the Pats in the fourth quarter. Keep an eye on the active list on Sunday.

Taylor doesn't have a good matchup against a KC defense that is 5th in aFPA to quarterbacks. This, along with the fact he is banged up and his numbers have been average most of the year, makes Taylor a definite bench player for Week 12.

BUF QB Tyrod Taylor - Week 11, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs Patriots

The Bills have beaten two division foes the past two weeks, with Tyrod Taylor returning from injury. However, his fantasy numbers have been his worst of the year averaging less than 20 passes and 170 yards per game. He hasn't thrown an interception in those two games but only has two touchdown passes during that span.

Taylor will face New England, who is 23rd in aFPA to quarterbacks so there is a chance for him to put up some decent numbers if he is given more opportunities. In the first meeting this season against the Pats, Taylor threw 30 passes for 242 yards and three touchdowns, but he also threw 3 picks. Taylor is on the outside looking in this week at Foxborough. He only rates a high-end QB2, which means he should probably be on your bench.

BUF QB Tyrod Taylor - Week 10, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at New York Jets

Tyrod Taylor returned to the lineup last week and had a workman-like performance against Miami. He only threw 12 passes, but still racked up 181 yards in passing. He threw a touchdown without a pick. He is playing good football and his team is winning, but his fantasy impact is minimal (although this week he did run the ball a season-high 10 times). If that continues, it could help his value.

He will face a pretty tough Jets defense this week that is 8th in aFPA to quarterbacks. We don't expect Rex Ryan to ask him to do much more, so he is not a great fantasy QB for Week 10. Keep Taylor on the bench as he only rates a fantasy QB2.

BUF QB Tyrod Taylor - Week 9, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs Dolphins
Tyrod Taylor is expected to be back and that changes the complexion of the Bills offense. Obviously, Buffalo struggled most of the time with E.J. Manuel so Taylor returning from the MCL sprain should give all the offensive players a fantasy boost.

The Bills host Miami who is 15th in aFPA to quarterbacks so no advantage either way in the matchup. But the fact that Taylor missed time could create a slow start and he might show some rust. He rates a high-end QB2 for Week 9 and should only be used if you need a QB because of a bye week or injury.

BUF QB Tyrod Taylor - Week 6, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs Bengals
Bills Coach Rex Ryan said Tyrod Taylor has been progressing faster than expected, but he is still unlikely to play Sunday because of a knee injury. E.J. Manuel has been taking most of the snaps with the first team.

If he doesn't end up playing, he would be a risky start because he is definitely not 100%. Stay away from Taylor this week no matter what happens Sunday.

Friday, October 16, 2015 - 9:49am
BUF QB Tyrod Taylor - Week 5, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs Titans

Tyrod Taylor had his worst outing of the season last week. He threw a season-high 42 passes, which is not what Buffalo wants. Although his fantasy numbers were still respectable (274 yards and a touchdown), they were not where they have been. He also threw an INT. And after rushing for 40-plus yards each of the first two weeks, he has only rushed for 27 combined yards the past two games.

Taylor is dealing with a bad ankle, but is listed as probable and is expected to play Sunday against Tennessee. The Titans are 17th in aFPA to quarterbacks, so the matchup is neutral. Taylor is a low-end QB1 for Week 5. Even after a game where the Bills strayed from their game-plan, Taylor still managed decent numbers.

BUF QB Tyrod Taylor - Week 4, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs Giants
What a climb for Tyrod Taylor. He has gone form journeyman to a serviceable fantasy quarterback. Taylor has completed 74% of his passes and had a great Week 3 with 272 passing yards and three touchdowns.

He is making a believer out of fantasy owners and will be in play for many owners who snagged him late in the draft or off the waiver wire. The Giants are 27th in aFPA to quarterbacks which makes Taylor a good play this week. Start him as a solid QB1 for Week 4.

Friday, October 2, 2015 - 10:31am
BUF QB Tyrod Taylor - Week 3, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Dolphins

Tyrod Taylor had a very strange game last Sunday. He completed 76.7 percent of his passes, threw for 242 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for another. But Taylor also threw three picks and was sacked eight times. The sacks aren't relevant in fantasy, but the interceptions are. Still, he has overall been pretty good through two weeks and fantasy owners should take notice.

He will face Miami this week (who have been pretty decent against the pass early this season), and he will have to face them on the road. Taylor is still not a fantasy starter, but he is moving up the ladder. He rates a high-end QB2.

BUF QB Tyrod Taylor - Week 2, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs Patriots
Week 1 was good start for the first-time starter. Tyrod Taylor was efficient against the Colts and really managed the game well. His stats weren't overwhelming with 195 yards passing and 41 yards rushing, but he did throw for one TD.

The good news for Taylor owners early on is that he made very few mistakes and his team won, which will strengthen his position as the Bills starter. It's still early in his Buffalo career, but the numbers Taylor put up last week will probably be very typical on a weekly basis.

He has another good matchup against a below-average Pats defense and he gets to play in Ralph Wilson Stadium again. However, Taylor will also go against a Bill Belichick-coached team, which is known to eat up young quarterbacks. Even with all the positives, Taylor is not ready to make a relevant fantasy impact. He is barely a QB2 in the rankings this week, but the future could be bright so keep an eye on him.
