SEA WR Tyler Lockett - Week 16, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs Cardinals
Tyler Lockett had his best game of the season last week with seven receptions for 130 yards and a touchdown. Lockett has battled injuries, but when he is healthy, he is capable of this type of performance. He had only two catches in the first game with the Cardinals.

Arizona is ranked 26th in aFPA to wide receivers. But even with the good matchup and great performance, we still worry about Lockett's ability to do this well week-in and week-out. Keep him on the bench for Week 16.

SEA WR Tyler Lockett - Week 8, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at New Orleans
Except for a solid Week 2 performance, Tyler Lockett has been a fantasy bust so far in 2016. He has zero touchdowns and only 13 receptions on the year. Plenty of people drafted him figuring he would break out, but it hasn't happened yet.

Things could change this week, as the Saints defense has been shaky. Although Lockett rates higher in Week 8 than recent weeks, he still doesn't rate high enough to start against New Orleans.

SEA WR Tyler Lockett - Week 4, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at New York Jets
Tyler Lockett had zero catches last week and is playing through a knee injury. Although he is expected to play and the matchup is very good against the Jets pass defense, Lockett should sit on your bench for this one. The road game and the injury raise red flags for Lockett.

SEA WR Tyler Lockett - Week 3, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs San Francisco
Tyler Lockett was only targeted four times, but he caught the ball all four times for 99 yards. He did not reach the end zone in Weeks 1 or 2, but Seattle has struggled offensively.

Lockett is the clear-cut No. 2 receiver, but until the 'Hawks clean up their offense, he should sit the fantasy bench. Keep him there for Week 3.

SEA WR Tyler Lockett - Week 2, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Los Angles
Tyler Lockett was the second-most targeted Seattle player in Week 1, which probably solidifies the preseason predictions that he would be the No. 2 man behind Doug Baldwin. The result weren't very good, as Lockett only had three catches for 17 with the longest reception being only six yards. Lockett will be Russell Wilson's long-ball threat, although we didn't see that executed last week.

The Rams pass defense can be considered average after Week 1, and we expect much better results from Lockett in Week 2. Still, a division road game after the slow start has us cautious in Locket's potential. For this Sunday, sit Lockett as a backup in all leagues and formats.

SEA WR Tyler Lockett - Week 1, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Miami
Tyler Lockett showed a lot of potential during his rookie season, even glimpses of greatness, especially stretching the field. Doug Baldwin was the best overall receiver for Seattle, but Lockett could work his way into that role eventually.

He is considered the No. 2 receiver in Seattle, passing Jermaine Kearse and will be the favorite target of QB Russell Wilson at times. No one can be totally sure what games that will be, so Lockett ranks a low-end WR3 or flex for Week 1.

SEA WR Tyler Lockett - 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Tyler Lockett made eight starts during his rookie season. Sometimes he was QB Russell Wilson's favorite target and sometimes he disappeared, but that's not all that surprising for a first-year WR. Lockett caught 51 passes, 664 yards and 6 TDs. Expect those numbers to go up as he should be the No. 2 for Seattle this season. He played 61% of the snaps, but that number should go up and he should surpass Jermaine Kearse.

Fantasy Downside
You were never sure who was going to have the big game for Seattle with Wilson at QB until the second half of last season when Doug Baldwin emerged as the clear No. 1. Even though the Seahawks have talked about getting Lockett more involved, Kearse would still be in that No. 2 role or even Jimmy Graham could be more prominent in the passing game.

2016 Bottom Line
Lockett should become a solid WR3 this season. He should be drafted around the 7th round and we are convinced he will be the No. 2 guy behind Baldwin. The Seahawks want a legit long ball threat for Wilson and Lockett fills that role. A 1,000 yard season and 8 TDs is a good possibility.

SEA WR Tyler Lockett - Week 18, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 18 at Minnesota

Tyler Lockett was limited to two catches last week and has been hobbled by a bad hip. He could be a game-time decision, but if he plays, he deserves some fantasy love as he has been an important cog in the recent Seattle passing game success.

Keep an eye on the injury report. Lockett will face the 25th-ranked defense in aFPA to wide receivers so there will be some opportunities for him in Minnesota as a top-10 fantasy option.

SEA WR Tyler Lockett - Week 17, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Arizona
Tyler Lockett was limited last week as he had to leave the game with a concussion. He is listed as questionable for Week 17 so keep an eye on his status on Sunday. If he does play, he should be in your lineup as a WR3 or flex. He has become a Russell Wilson favorite the second half of the season.

SEA WR Tyler Lockett - Week 16, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs St. Louis
Since the Seahawks passing game has exploded, Tyler Lockett has now become a bigger part of the offense. He scored another touchdown and was targeted seven times for the third straight game. The matchup is not favorable this week as the Rams are 7th in aFPA to wide receivers, but the Seahawks offense should remain hot. Start Lockett as a low-end WR3 or flex for Week 16.
