Week 15 vs. Los Angeles Rams
Russell Wilson had an interesting game against one of the better defenses in the Jacksonville Jaguars last Sunday. Wilson threw for 271 yards and 3 touchdowns and also added another 50 yards rushing to make it a good fantasy outing. Wilson remains one of the hottest QBs in both the NFL and fantasy.
The Seahawks face the Rams this week, who are ranked fifth in aFPA to quarterbacks. In the first meeting this season against them, Wilson was held to under 200 yards passing and also threw only 1 touchdown. We expect better this week for him at home. Even with the tough matchup, start Wilson in all leagues and formats as one of the best fantasy plays of Week 15.
Week 14 at Jacksonville Jaguars
Russell Wilson has been one of the most productive quarterbacks in fantasy and in the NFL over the past several weeks. He has thrown 9 touchdowns compared to 2 interceptions over the past four games but he doesn't have a 300-yard passing game over that span. He has run for 2 touchdowns, as well.
Wilson will face the Jaguars, who are ranked first in aFPA to quarterbacks in 2017. This means it will be a tough matchup for Wilson, but that's not enough to put him on the bench. In fact, we like Wilson as a solid QB1 against the Jags. That's how good he has been playing.
Week 13 vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Russell Wilson has put up similar numbers the last two weeks in the passing game. He has thrown two touchdowns and one interception in each of those games, but the big news from a fantasy standpoint, he has scored rushing touchdowns in each of those games. This used to be a major part of Wilson's fantasy value, but had tapered off the past couple seasons as his passing numbers had become more proficient. But with the offensive line struggling, they have had to be more creative with his talent.
Wilson will face Philadelphia this week who are ranked 9th in aFPA to quarterbacks. He has been playing very well despite no running game and a poor offensive line. Wilson should be ranked as one of the best fantasy quarterbacks for Week 13. Start him in all leagues and formats.
Week 12 at San Francisco 49ers
Russell Wilson is coming off a 258-yard passing performance that produced 3 touchdowns (one on the ground). He continues to put up consistent numbers, but still needs to stay away from the interceptions (4 over the past four games). That was also only his second rushing touchdown of the season.
Wilson will face the Niners this week, who are ranked 20th in aFPA to quarterbacks. In their previous meeting back in Week 2, Wilson struggled, throwing for 198 yards and 1 touchdown. It was part of his slow start to the season, and the Seahawks have been playing much better since then.
Start Wilson as a top fantasy quarterback for Week 11. He is good in all formats and leagues.
Week 11 vs. Atlanta Falcons
Russell Wilson had another solid day last Sunday and more important stayed away from turnovers. He threw for 238 yards and two touchdowns against Arizona. Wilson bounced back nicely after struggling two weeks ago against Washington. The most important part of Wilson't numbers are his passing attempts as they have been up over the past month of the season.
The Seahawks welcome the Falcons to Seattle who are ranked 14th in aFPA to quarterbacks. The way Wilson has been playing is the key factor for his fantasy ranking and the passing game has taken over in Seattle. Start Wilson as a top five fantasy quarterbacks for Week 11.
Week 10 at Arizona Cardinals
Russell Wilson came up three yards shy of recording his third straight 300-yard passing game, but he did throw two more touchdowns. However, he did throw two interceptions and has six in the past five games after throwing none the first three games. Despite the picks, Wilson made it a pretty good fantasy week with season-high 77 yards rushing.
Wilson will face a Cardinals defense that has struggled ranked 26th in aFPA to quarterbacks. Wilson lit up Arizona last season in Week 16, but has not been as consistent this season.
The matchup is too good and Wilson should have a big game Thursday night in the Valley of the Sun. Start Wilson as the top fantasy quarterback for Week 10.
Week 9 vs. Washington Redskins
Russell Wilson got an early Christmas gift this week when the Seahawks acquired left tackle Duane Brown. Russell has been running for his left most of the season and this will help shore up a leaky offensive line. Last week, Wilson exploded in a shootout with Houston throwing for 452 yards and four touchdowns.
He will face the Redskins this Sunday who are ranked 12th in aFPA to quarterbacks. We like the direction the Seahawks offense is going. Four out of the last five weeks, Wilson has been one of the top fantasy quarterbacks and for Week 9, he ranks No. 1 overall. Start him in all leagues and formats.
Week 8 vs. Houston Texans
Russell Wilson torched the Giants for 334 passing yards and three touchdowns which should give owners some hope that the Seattle offense is finally getting it together in 2017. More important, Wilson did not throw a pick after throwing 3 in the previous two games. Put the INTs aside, Wilson has been pretty good the past three games.
The Texans come to Seattle. Houston ranks 19th in aFPA to quarterbacks so Wilson has a chance to keep his hot streak going. Start him as a solid QB1 for Week 8 in all leagues and formats.
Week 7 at New York Giants
Russell Wilson is coming off a bye week with mixed results through his first five starts. Although the numbers were better the last three games, he has had issues with protection from his offensive line and has attempted 37 or more passes in a game only three times. In the last two games, his passing yardage was decent, but he threw 3 touchdowns and 3 interceptions, so again, mixed results.
Wilson will face a Giants defense ranked 18th in aFPA to quarterbacks. The Giants' pass defense seems to be playing better, but Wilson should put up decent numbers in Week 7. Start Wilson as a solid QB1 at home this Sunday.
Week 5 at Los Angeles Rams
Russell Wilson was efficient against the Colts although the two interceptions put a slight blemish on the night. Still, Wilson completed 81% of his passes and threw for 295 yards. It has been a two-week resurgence that has been more reminiscent of the past two seasons for Wilson. And he also ran for a score which has been more of a bonus lately for him.
Wilson will face the Rams who are 23rd in aFPA to quarterbacks. This one could be a shootout in LA which is exactly what Wilson owners want. This is definitely a game where you want the Wilson in your lineup. Even with offensive line woes, Seattle keep scoring points and that should be the case in Week 5. Start him in all leagues and formats as top 5 fantasy quarterback.
