Week 11 at Dallas Cowboys
Alshon Jeffery popped up on the injury report midweek with an ankle injury, one that coach Doug Pederson admitted he's been dealing with for a few weeks. That could mean more targets for Nelson Agholor and Zach Ertz on Sunday night. In a plus matchup against Dallas (22nd in aFPA vs. WRs), he's a solid FLEX option. Vegas has the Eagles with an implied team total of 26.25, fourth-highest for Week 11. There will be points.
Week 9 vs. Denver Broncos
The Eagles offense may funnel through pass-catchers this week, with Denver the toughest match-up in our aFPA rankings versus RBs. However, it's no picnic for WRs either, as Denver is fourth in our aFPA vs. WR rankings. Overall, the Broncos have also allowed the fourth-fewest points to the position. These factors add up to Agholor being a risky FLEX option this week.
Week 8 vs. San Francisco
Philadelphia has the highest implied total of Week 8 at near 30 points. The 49ers are a plus matchup for WRs, ranked just 18th in our aFPA vs. WR rankings, and all of a sudden, Nelson Agholor is the WR15 in PPR. He is thriving in the slot role for Philadelphia, despite averaging just 5 targets per game. It's his 5 touchdowns in this high-powered passing attack that is raising his fantasy prospects, as he enters WR2 territory for Week 8.
Week 7 vs. Washington
Shutdown corner Josh Norman returns this week, which could cap Alshon Jeffery's ceiling on Monday Night Football, but increase volume for slot man Nelson Agholor. Washington is second in our aFPA vs. WR rankings. It's a difficult matchup on paper, but Agholor did put up 6-86-1 against Washington in Week 1. Agholor has been hot, and he's a FLEX consideration for this week.
Week 6 at Carolina Panthers
Nelson Agholor has been boom-or-bust this season, with two 19-point+ PPR games and three sandwiched in between with fewer than 10 PPR points. In fact, 2 long touchdowns have accounted for 44.6 percent of his PPR points this season. That's the kind of inconsistency you can't rely on in your starting lineup.
Week 5 vs. Arizona Cardinals
Nelson Agholor has not cracked 5 targets in three straight weeks. You can't start him with any confidence in Week 5.
Week 4 at Los Angeles Chargers
Nelson Agholor had an improvised long touchdown Week 1, and that's it. Back-to-back weeks with less than 30 yards proves he's not a candidate for your fantasy lineup, including in Week 4.
Week 3 vs. New York Giants
We warned you last week that Agholor's Week 1 stat line was pumped up by a fluky, improvised, long touchdown. He came right back down to Earth in Week 2 with just three targets. This is not a player you can rely on week-to-week and have confidence starting.
Week 2 at Kansas City Chiefs
Nelson Agholor cashed in on a broken play last week for a long touchdown. Take that play away and Agholor had 5 receptions for just 28 yards. He is the slot man now in this offense, which should lead to targets (8 in Week 1); however, how valuable will those targets be? We can't rely on broken plays for fantasy points week-to-week. Therefore, Agholor is a name you should fade against the Chiefs (14th in aFPA vs. PPR WRs).
Week 1 at Washington
The Eagles traded Jordan Matthews, clearing slot WR duties for Nelson Agholor; however, he'll likely need to score a TD to have any fantasy relevance whatsoever in Week 1. Agholor had trouble separating from coverage last season and also had some bad drops. He should not be in your lineups.
