TB WR Mike Evans - Week 14, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Mike Evans - Week 14 vs. Detroit

After three games in a row with at least seven receptions, 100 yards and a touchdown Mike Evans has cooled down. He has 47 and 49 yards in his last two games, respectively. He's still being targeted at a high rate, but it was unrealistic for him to keep up the production from earlier in the season.

This week he gets a tough matchup against the Lions. Detroit is one of the best defenses in football and has allowed the third fewest points to opposing wideouts.

Evans still has some value because of his incredible potential, but a bad matchup should raise some concerns. He should be viewed as a WR2 at best this week.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 13, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Mike Evans - Week 13 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Mike Evans is starting to become the only good thing in the Buccaneers' offense. He's caught eight touchdowns in the last seven games. His 100-yard streak ended last week as he was only able to haul in three of his 11 targets for 47 yards. But he still managed to find the endzone.

He could face some troubles this week against Cincinnati. The Bengals have allowed the second-fewest points to opposing wideouts this season. In more than half of their games they've held receivers to no touchdowns.

Evans should be viewed as a WR2 because of his tremendous upside, but just realize his numbers could take a hit this week.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 12, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Mike Evans - Week 12 vs. Chicago Bears

Over the last four weeks Mike Evans has 536 receiving yards, the most in the NFL. His best performance came a week ago when he hauled in seven receptions for 209 yards and two touchdowns. It should be noted it was his third consecutive game with exactly seven receptions.

Evans will likely lose some production off of his season-high a week ago, but he's still a dangerous threat. His matchup against the Bears isn't the greatest, but at this point he appears to be matchup proof. Continue to ride the hot streak until he cools down.

He should be viewed as a WR1

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 11, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Mike Evans - Week 11 vs. Washington

It took a while for Mike Evans to get going, but he's been on a major hot streak lately. He has 124 and 125 yards in his last two games, respectively. He's also scored five touchdowns in his last five games. I should also add he's caught seven passes in back-to-back games making him a strong PPR option as well.

He'll get a decent matchup this week against the Washington Redskins. You should view Evans as a WR2 this week based on his recent performances. There's a lot of upside with this rookie.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 10, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Mike Evans - Week 10 vs. Atlanta

Mike Evans exploded last week setting career highs in every category. The rookie wideout finished with seven receptions for 124 yards and two touchdowns against Cleveland. It should be noted, however, Evans did this with Mike Glennon as his quarterback.

The Buccaneers made a switch to Josh McCown this week, which may hurt Evans' value. McCown failed to pass for 200 yards in each of the two full games he played this season. If McCown doesn't throw for many yards, the receivers will suffer.

Evans should be viewed as a strong WR3 in a favorable matchup against Atlanta.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Mike Evans - Week 9 vs. Cleveland

Mike Evans is starting to become a very consistent weapon. He's caught four passes in five consecutive games and is usually in the 50-60 yard range. He set a career high last week with 78 yards.

He'll get a decent matchup this week against Cleveland. The Browns have allowed at least one touchdown to wideouts in each of their last four games. Evans should be used as a WR3.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Mike Evans - Week 8 vs. Minnesota

Mike Evans' two best performances have come since Mike Glennon took over as the starting quarterback. He's caught a touchdown in each of games with Glennon as the starter.

He won't get a great matchup this week against Minnesota. The first rounder should still be viewed as a WR3 option, though.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 6, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Mike Evans - Week 6 vs. Baltimore

Mike Evans was expected to miss a few weeks with a groin injury, but he was back at practice this week. The Tampa Bay Times reported he "continues to look promising" as he hopes to return to the lineup against Baltimore.

Before his injury, Evans was improving in every game. His yardage total increased every week and caught a touchdown pass in Week 4. However, if he does return this week he could be on limited snaps. It's a situation to keep an eye on.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 4, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Mike Evans - Week 4 vs. Pittsburgh

Mike Evans leads the Buccaneers in receiving, but that's not saying a whole lot. He has just 138 yards through three games and has yet to have a blowup performance. He'll now play with a new quarterback in Mike Glennon. It's not clear yet how much Glennon will target Evans. Glennon averaged 10 targets per game with Vincent Jackson in 2013.

Expect more of the same from Evans in Week 4, which isn't much. He should be used as a low WR3 or WR4 if you're desperate.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 3, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Mike Evans - Week 3 vs. Atlanta

Mike Evans is off to somewhat of a slow start in his rookie season. He hasn't put up any huge numbers in his first two professional games. Last week he caught four passes for 49 yards (on four targets), including the final play of the game where he injured himself (the injury won't affect his Week 3 status).

To give Evans credit, he has faced a pair of tough secondaries. He'll get an easier in matchup in Week 3 against Atlanta. The Falcons have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing WRs this season.

In a favorable matchup, the first-round rookie could finally have a big game this week. He's still a risky play considering his output so far this season and the quarterback play from Josh McCown. View Evans as a low WR3 or high WR4 option this week.
