MIA WR Jarvis Landry - Week 8, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at New England
The coaching change has brought success to pretty much every Dolphins player. In the first four games this season, Jarvis Landry had zero touchdowns. In the two games since Joe Philbin was fired he has three. His success should continue this week against a Patriots defense that has struggled in recent games. Landry will be a borderline WR1 in PPR formats and a strong WR2 in standard leagues.

MIA WR Jarvis Landry - Week 7, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Houston

Jarvis Landry can do it all for Miami. In addition to being the team's top wideout, he's also their return-man and is successful moving the ball on running plays. He's had at least one rushing attempt in every game this season and in Week 6, he took one of his carries to the end zone for a score.

Landry's receiving stats have gone down in his last two games, but he's found other ways to find success. He should have a bounce back game in terms of receptions and yards this week in a favorable matchup against the Texans. View Landry as a WR2 option in all formats.

MIA WR Jarvis Landry - Week 6, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Tennessee

Ryan Tannehill loves going in Jarvis Landry's direction. The Dolphins wideout has 46 targets, which is tied for 16th in the league and that's even after he missed a game due to the bye week.

He doesn't do much once he gets the ball, so that hurts his standard format rankings, but he's an excellent PPR option. He could struggle this week, however. The Titans have allowed 10 receptions or less to collective wideouts in each game so for this season. In a tough matchup, Landry should be viewed as a low-end WR2 in PPR and a WR3 in standard.

MIA WR Jarvis Landry - Week 4, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Jets
Who is the real No. 1 receiver in Miami? Jarvis Landry leads in targets (35) and receptions (24), but trails Rishard Matthews in yards and touchdowns. In fact, Landry has a goose egg when it comes to the TD category.

Landry has proven to be a strong option when it comes to PPR formats. He catches a lot of passes and is often Ryan Tannehill's go-to guy when he needs a first down. He'll continue to be that, which makes him valuable. This week, however, he draws a tough assignment against Darrelle Revis and the Jets. He has more value in PPR leagues and should be viewed as a WR2 play.

MIA WR Jarvis Landry - Week 3, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Buffalo
Jarvis Landry has been a really good fantasy option so far this season. He's hauled in 16 of his 22 targets, finishing with eight receptions in each game. He also has 163 receiving yards, which leads the Dolphins. He's even been involved on the ground as he has a rushing attempt in both games. Landry really shines in PPR formats, where he should be viewed as a low-end WR1 -- even in a tough matchup against Buffalo. He's more of a mid-WR2 in standard formats this week.

MIA WR Jarvis Landry - Week 1, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Washington
Jarvis Landry should be viewed as the No. 1 receiving option for Miami. He had a breakout rookie season finishing with 84 receptions. He'll be the guy to move the chains for the Dolphins and possibly score a touchdown this week.

He gets a favorable Week 1 matchup against a poor Redskins secondary, as Washington allowed the second-most points to wideouts in 2014 and hasn't improved much over the offseason. Landry should be viewed as a strong WR2 in standard formats and a low-end WR1 in PPR.

MIA WR Jarvis Landry - 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Jarvis Landry proved he was worth a pick in the second round of last year's draft as he showcased his skills with a solid rookie season. He wasn't the best rookie wideout, but he proved to be a valuable PPR option as he finished with a team-high 84 receptions. His 758 yards and five touchdowns can be improved upon and they likely will in his second year.

Fantasy Downside
Landry's downside is that he doesn't do much after he catches the football. He averaged just nine yards per catch last season, which is extremely low for any position. He ranked 118th in yards per catch amongst receivers, running backs and tight ends who had at least 1.875 receptions per game played.

Bottom Line
We have a small sample size of what Landry can do in the NFL. Last season he played alongside Mike Wallace and this season he's the most tenured wideout amongst the Miami's starters. His role will increase, but it's not clear if he'll continue the same pattern he had last season of making a lot of receptions without gaining a lot of yards. Worst case scenario, Landry is a WR2 in PPR formats and a WR3/WR4 in standard leagues. He has potential, but we need to see it first.

MIA WR Jarvis Landry - Week 17, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Jarvis Landry - Week 17 vs. New York Jets

Jarvis Landry is having a solid rookie season. He has 79 receptions for 703 yards and five touchdowns so far. He's been playing well lately, catching at least five passes in his last eight games. He's a great PPR option as he has eight receptions in three of his last four games. He's not a threat to finish with a lot of yards. He's only surpassed 60 receiving yards three times this season.

Landry will face the Jets for the second time. When he faced them earlier in the year he finished with eight receptions for 68 yards. He'll likely finish in that range again. He should be viewed as a low WR2, with a slight bump in PPR formats.

MIA WR Jarvis Landry - Week 16, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Jarvis Landry - Week 16 vs. Minnesota

Jarvis Landry continued to play well even in a difficult matchup last week against the Patriots. He caught eight of his 11 targets for 99 yards. He's really turning into a good slot receiver, which is great news in PPR formats. He has at least five receptions in each of his last seven games

He gets a tough matchup this week against Minnesota. The Vikings have allowed the sixth fewest passing yards in the league. Even with the tough matchup Landry should be viewed as a low WR2 in PPR formats and a WR3 in standard.

MIA WR Jarvis Landry - Week 15, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Jarvis Landry - Week 15 vs. New England Patriots

Jarvis Landry is the Dolphins' leading receiver in terms of receptions. He's been a solid PPR option over the last six games as he's caught at least five passes in each contest. He's also caught four touchdowns in that span.

Landry gets a difficult matchup this week against New England. The Patriots, with Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner, have been hard on wideouts this season. Landry gets a slight bump in PPR formats, but he should be viewed as a WR3 option.
