BAL RB Gus Edwards - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Oakland Raiders

Gus Edwards has been flirting with production here and there this season, but finally had a breakout game last week against the Bengals with 115 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries. He touched the ball 10 times more than incumbent starter Alex Collins, making it likely he’s taking over the workhorse role.

Edwards is still risky, but the rookie out of Rutgers has a great chance to pop again this week against the Raiders. Oakland has allowed the ninth-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs this year, and if the Ravens can lock down the Raiders offense, it may be a busy day for the Baltimore ground attack. Edwards is risky, as we don’t know what kind of workload he’ll get, but he’s worth considering as a low-end RB2 for needy fantasy owners.

Update:
Collins is expected to be out, so Gus Edwards gets a big bump. In a nice matchup, Edwards should be considered an RB2 with upside.
