Week 17 vs Lions
Back-to-back 60-yard games and touchdowns in three of his last five games have helped Gerald Everett make a late push. And Detroit ranks 27th against opposing tight ends, so we have something we haven't really seen all season: Everett as a TE1 option for the week.
Week 16 vs Bears
For just the third time this season, Gerald Everett topped 50 yards in a game. Part of that may have stemmed from Tyler Lockett being out. Lockett is back this week. And this may surprise, but the No. 1-ranked defense against opposing fantasy tight ends is...the Chicago Bears. Roquan Smith is having a tremendous season. Still, Everett checks in at No. 13 on the TE board this week. He has at least four catches in four out of six games since Seattle's Week 9 bye.
Week 15 vs Rams
The sun hasn't completely set on Gerald Everett SZN, but he has just 22 receiving yards in the last two games. However, he did catch a touchdown pass in Seattle's blowout win last week over Houston. Everett missed the first Rams game because of Covid, so this will be his first chance to square off against his former team. Is revenge in the air? Everett is our No. 14 TE in half-PPR.
Week 14 vs Texans
At least Gerald Everett has been getting targets lately. However, last week was quite forgettable. While he did catch four passes, they only went for seven yards and he fumbled twice. While it may still be Gerald Evertt SZN, it's not enough to make him a bonafide starter in fantasy circles.
Week 13 vs 49ers
I guess Pete Carroll wasn't kidding when he said it was Gerald Everett SZN. Everett scored for just the second time this season and first score his Week 1. His nine targets were the most he's seen in a game all year and his five catches tied for the second-most in a game for Everett this season. He'll face San Francisco for the first time this season after missing the Week 4 meeting due to Covid. It won't be easy. The 49ers are the third-best defense against fantasy tight ends this season. We'll see if Gerald Everett SZN stretches another week.
Week 12 vs Washington
It's apparently Gerald Everett season now. HC Pete Carroll told reporters he thinks Everett should get the ball more as his physicality has come along of late. "It just screams that we have to keep going to him," Carroll said. We'll see if that actually happens. Might be a case of too little, too late, although Everett did have the Covid issue earlier this season. Washington is middle-of-the-pack against tight ends, so if there's a time for his usage to go up, it's this week.
Week 11 vs Cardinals
See, Seattle's tight ends can be involved! Everett was one of the lone bright spots for the Seahawks last week with eight catches for 63 yards, both season highs for Everett. He still hasn't scored since Week 1 however. And that stretch might continue for another week, as Arizona is sixth against opposing tight ends in fantasy this season. In fact, Everett hasn't scored in his last three games played against Arizona. He's a low TE2 this week.
Week 10 vs Packers
No matter who the quarterback is, the tight end just doesn't seem to ever be involved in Seattle. In Gerald Everett's last three games, he has six catches on eight targets for just 58 yards including just seven yards on one catch against Jacksonville. Perhaps with Russell Wilson back, Everett will see his stock rise again. But we need to see it to believe it. For now, he's a low-end TE2.
Week 8 vs Jaguars
In two games since returning from COVID, Gerald Everett has caught five of six targets for just 51 yards. He still has just one game over 50 yards this season and three games with 20 or fewer yards. The silver lining here is Jacksonville is the easiest matchup this week for tight ends, so if Seattle's offense wakes up, maybe Everett scores his first touchdown since Week 1. Maybe.
Week 7 vs Saints
Gerald Everett returned from his stint on the reserve/COVID list and had two catches for 40 yards against the Steelers. We'll see if he just needs time to get back into full gear in the offense, but not having Russell Wilson will obviously ding Everett's value, putting him at No. 23 this week among half-PPR tight ends.
