TEN TE Delanie Walker - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Delanie Walker Week 8 vs. Texans
Delanie Walker had just two receptions for 17 yards last week and has a tough matchup with Houston's defense, which has allowed just two tight end scores this season. Typically, a young quarterback's best friend is his tight end, but with Kendall Wright also running a lot of underneath stuff, Walker might not benefit from Zach Mettenberg playing this week. He's a decent start, but not a great one.

TEN TE Delanie Walker - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Delanie Walker Week 7 vs. Redskins
Delanie Walker hasn't been as valuable the past two weeks with Charlie Whitehurst under center and it appears Whitehurst will start again. But he's still been decent, with three catches for 57 yards last week. Washington has allowed five TE touchdowns this season, four of which came against the Giants. So there's a decent chance Walker can find a score this week. He's a nice, solid tight end start this week.

TEN TE Delanie Walker - Week 6, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Delanie Walker Week 6 vs. Jaguars
Delanie Walker managed just 47 yards last week on four receptions, but better times could be coming this week. Jacksonville has allowed five touchdowns to opposing tight ends this season, and Walker specializes in scoring with three TDs already this season. He's a solid play this week.

TEN TE Delanie Walker - Week 5, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Delanie Walker Week 5 vs. Browns
Delanie Walker is dealing with a shoulder injury, but is expected to play this week. He had five catches for 84 yards and a touchdown last week and has now scored in three of four games. The shoulder injury is troublesome, but Walker is a very nice play if he's ready to go.

TEN TE Delanie Walker - Week 4, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Delanie Walker Week 4 vs. Colts
A shoulder injury slowed Delanie Walker's move to stardom, but he still managed four receptions for 54 yards. Walker missed practice Wednesday, but was back, at least in a limited basis, Thursday. The Colts gave up three receiving TDs to Julius Thomas in Week 1. Walker should be OK to play regardless of the quarterback situation if he's healthy this week.

TEN TE Delanie Walker - Week 3, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Delanie Walker Week 3 vs. Bengals
Delanie Walker is quickly rising up the tight end ranks after scoring in both of the first two games. His 10 catches for 142 yards didn't hurt last week, either. The Ravens showed in Week 1 that the Bengals can be hurt by the tight end, as their tight ends caught 14 passes for 117 yards. Keep on rolling with Walker.

TEN TE Delanie Walker - Week 2, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Delanie Walker Week 2 vs Dallas
Delanie Walker isn't going to give you a high volume of catches, but he is a solid scoring option. After catching three passes for 37 yards and a TD last week, he has now caught four TD passes in the past eight games with Jake Locker at QB. Considering the Cowboys allowed Vernon Davis to get into the end zone twice last week, Walker is worth taking a shot with this week as a low-end starter.

TEN TE Delanie Walker - Week 1, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Delanie Walker Week 1 vs Chiefs
Delanie Walker had some big games in 2013. But his game against the Chiefs - 4 catches for 43 yards - wasn't one of them. Kansas City allowed the second fewest fantasy points to opposing tight ends last season. Keep Walker on your bench this week.

TEN TE Delanie Walker - 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
In his first season as a full-time starter, Delanie Walker emerged as Tennessee's top TD threat through the air, scoring six times. He also got 85 targets, which is a good healthy total.

Fantasy Downside
Walker isn't going to beat many players in a footrace, so he's not going to put up big yardage totals. He had just four games with 50 or more yards in 2013.

Bottom Line
Delanie Walker isn't flashy, but he'll get you some points every time out. His ADP is 158, which is putting him as a low-end No. 2 fantasy tight end.
