TEN TE Delanie Walker - Week 5, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Miami
Walker saw a season-high eight targets last week, which was a good thing. The bad news is Marcus Mariota is struggling so badly right now that he's even overthrowing his big tight end. Walker had just two catches for 32 yards last week. That said, he was 6-for-6 on targets in his previous game. Walker is one of the top tight ends in the league and he typically gets plenty of volume. He's a No. 1 starter this week.

TEN TE Delanie Walker - Week 4, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Houston
Walker missed last week's game with a hamstring that was still troubling him this week. Keep an eye on the injury report Friday to see if this usually stud tight end makes it back. Houston has allowed just 10 tight end catches in its first three games, as well. Walker isn't most tight ends and will see plenty of passes thrown his way if he does play, but temper your enthusiasm.

TEN TE Delanie Walker - Week 3, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Oakland
After being largely ignored in Week 1, Walker emerged again in Week 2, catching six passes for 83 yards and a touchdown. He's dealing with a sore hamstring but should be OK. And against an Oakland pass defense that allowed 10 catches for 180 yards and a touchdown to Atlanta's tight ends last week, Walker should have plenty of room to work. He's a solid start this week.

TEN TE Delanie Walker - Week 2, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Detroit
After Walker got just five passes thrown his way last week, resulting in three catches for 42 yards, the Titans realized that they have to get their Pro Bowl tight end more involved, especially against a Detroit defense that allowed 88 yards and three touchdowns to Indianapolis' tight ends last week. Expect a much more productive day this week out of Walker, who should be one of the top scoring tight ends week in and week out.

TEN TE Delanie Walker - Week 1, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Minnesota
Walker gets plenty of volume in terms of targets. He averaged 8.9 per game last season, which led to a career-best 94 catches. You can bet the Vikings, who allowed just five TE touchdowns last season and held 10 opponents to less than 60 yards at the position last season are aware of that. Walker's a starter because of his volume, but he won't be one of the top starters this week.

TEN TE Delanie Walker - 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

2016 Fantasy Outlook
Other guys get more publicity, but when you look up at the end of the year, Walker is among the best tight ends in the game. He had his first 1,000-yard season last year on 94 catches and added six TDs to boot. He also had 133 targets and has averaged over 100 targets a year since coming over to Tennessee. It wouldn't hurt his cause if one of the young receivers got going or if the Titans produced a running attack. But in the meantime, keep soaking in the catches with Walker. His ADP has him as the 6th best tight end in fantasy and the 65th player taken. But he'll outproduce one or two of the guys ranked ahead of him.

TEN TE Delanie Walker - Week 17, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Indianapolis
Walker remains the lone solid play in the Tennessee offense. He was just so-so last week, though he did have nine catches to produce his 59 yards, but he's only six yards short of a 1,000-yard season. He had seven catches for 68 yards against the Colts earlier this season and should be in line for similar action again this week. Walker remains a must-play each week at what has become a thin position.

TEN TE Delanie Walker - Week 16, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Houston
Walker had just two catches last week, but they went for 64 yards and two scores. He's the only consistent factor in Tennessee's passing attack and had six receptions for 62 yards in the first matchup with Houston. Walker is a must-start TE in all formats. He leads Tennessee's offense in targets by far.

TEN TE Delanie Walker - Week 15, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at New England
After catching seven passes for 71 yards last week, Walker now leads all tight ends with 74 catches. New England has been good against opposing tight ends this season, but Walker is really the only proven pass catcher in Tennessee's attack. He will see enough volume that you can't bench him now.

TEN TE Delanie Walker - Week 14, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at New York Jets
Walker had eight catches for 92 yards and a score last week, his fourth game in the past five with at least 91 receiving yards. The Jets have done a good job overall against opposing tight ends, but good ones have troubled them. Walker is that. And he has over 25 percent of his team's receptions. He should again be a solid start this week.
