Week 15 at New York Giants
Just when you think it's safe to play Corey Davis on a weekly basis, he goes out and has two catches for 21 yards as he did last week. There's little to no consistency in this Titans' passing game. Davis now has just 18 targets in his past four games as he has drawn more attention from opposing defenses. He's a WR3 play this week because of his status as the top option in this passing game. And he's capable of more, but as we saw last week, the floor can be brutal.
Week 14 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Corey Davis has now scored in three of his past four games, making his three-catch, 42-yard effort last week at least a decent one with a touchdown. But, Jacksonville has given up just seven touchdowns to opposing receivers this season. Davis figures to draw Jalen Ramsey when he lines up outside, though he's gotten more snaps from the slot in recent weeks. It won't be enough work in the slot to justify starting Davis as anything more than a flex option.
Week 13 vs. N.Y. Jets
Corey Davis hauled in four catches for 96 yards and a score last week as he had his second big fantasy game in the past three weeks. The Jets have allowed double digits in receptions to opposing receivers in all but one game this season and have given up 12 touchdowns to the position. Davis is worth running out there as a low-end WR2, high-end WR3 with some upside potential given his share of the targets in Tennessee.
Week 12 at Houston Texans
Corey Davis managed just two measly catches for 30 yards last week in a blowout loss to the Colts. He did have five catches for 55 yards in an earlier meeting with the Texans in Week 2, so there's some hope. But Davis is just so up and down in his production, he's difficult to count on, especially with Tennessee's shaky quarterback situation. Use him as a low-end WR3 only if you have to.
Week 11 at Indianapolis Colts
Corey Davis posted a strong total last week with a line of 7-125-1 against the Patriots for his second-best performance of the season. He's gotten 37 percent of the team's targets this season, which is a ridiculous workload. That makes him a WR3 with plenty of upside each week. There have been plenty of dog games this season and the Colts have been good against opposing receivers overall. But given Davis' target share, he's a solid start.
Week 10 vs. New England Patriots
Corey Davis continues to get a high volume of targets -- 10 last week -- but doesn't always produce big numbers. He did have six catches for 56 yards for a decent day in PPR leagues. But he's more of a WR3 play right now based on his overall production. There's potential for more. We'll see. But don't expect more.
Week 9 at Dallas Cowboys
Despite a high target load, Corey Davis has produced eight catches for 83 yards in his past three games combined since going off against Philadelphia. He'll likely draw Byron Jones a lot this week, which will limit his production, as well. This passing game is a mess and Davis is a big part of that. He's nothing more than a flex option at this point given his target share.
Week 7 at Los Angeles Chargers
Since his big Week 4 game against the Eagles (9-161-1), Corey Davis has just five receptions, including one catch for 24 yards last week. In fact, take away that big game against the Eagles and Davis has just 18 receptions in the other five games. Overall, the Chargers' pass defense numbers against opposing receivers are not great. But a closer look shows many of the big numbers were posted by Kansas City and the Rams. They've been pretty good against everyone else. Davis is only worth using as a low-end WR3 because of the volume he sees.
Week 6 vs. Baltimore Ravens
Corey Davis regressed back to the norm last week after his big game against the Eagles, catching four passes for 49 yards at Buffalo. He faces a tough matchup this week against the Ravens, so expecting a big game is a bit much to ask. Because of his target load, Davis should be used. But keep your expectations limited to that of a low-end WR2, WR3 option and keep your fingers crossed.
Week 5 at Buffalo Bills
Corey Davis had a monster nine-catch, 161-yard game with a touchdown last week. That 161 yards was more than he had in his first three games, but he's getting the largest target share of any receiver in the league. He could draw a tough matchup with Tre'Davious White, but given his market share in the Tennessee passing game, Davis should be no worse than a WR3 with upside moving forward.
