TEN WR Corey Davis - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Los Angeles Chargers
Corey Davis got five targets last week, hauling in three passes for 36 yards. We'll see what the switch to Ryan Tannehill means for him, but it's probably too much unknown at this point to recommend using Davis as anything more than a flex option this week. Davis just hasn't been consistent enough, much like the Titans offense as a whole.

TEN WR Corey Davis - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Denver Broncos
Four targets, two catches, 28 yards. That was Corey Davis' production last week, which has largely been the norm this season. There's just not much meat on the bone in this Tennessee passing game, at least not consistently. And that's especially true in this matchup, which strongly favors Denver's pass defense. Davis is a flex option and nothing more.

TEN WR Corey Davis - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Buffalo Bills
You might trust Corey Davis. But you'd be one of the few. Sure, he had five catches for 91 yards and a touchdown last week, but that was more output that he has posted in his first three weeks combined. Maybe last week changed things. But let's face it, Buffalo's pass defense will offer a huge test. In fact, only four teams have been more productive stopping opposing wideouts this season. Davis is a flex play this week.

TEN WR Corey Davis - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Atlanta Falcons
Corey Davis has six catches for 84 yards, which sounds good until you realize that's his production through three games. That includes a line of 3-44-0 last week against Jacksonville. He's just not seeing many targets -- 12 through three games -- and the Titans don't want to increase that, anyway. They want to play ugly. Davis is nothing but a flex option at this point. He might go off at some point. But when is anyone's guess right now.

TEN WR Corey Davis - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. at Jacksonville Jaguars
Corey Davis had three receptions for 38 yards last week against the Colts, which was better than the goose egg he put up in Week 1, but barely so. He did get five targets last week, compared to three in Week 1, but the volume just isn't there. This is a tough matchup against the Jaguars. In four career games against Jacksonville, he's averaged one catch for 14 yards. That's not a misprint. You'll have better options than Davis this week.

TEN WR Corey Davis - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Indianapolis Colts
Three targets and no catches were not what you were expecting out of Corey Davis is you started him last week as he drew shadow coverage from Denzel Ward. On the plus side, Davis doesn't have to face Ward again this season. The negative? He had seven catches for a combined 78 yards in two games against the Colts in 2018. Davis should record his first catch(es) of the 2019 season in this game, but he might not be worth using as anything more than a flex play.

TEN WR Corey Davis - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Cleveland
Corey Davis figures to draw a lot of attention from the Browns this week -- when the Titans have time to throw the ball. Davis was up and down in Year 2, but there's some hope he'll be more consistent in his third season. He's got talent. But he'll also probably draw a lot of Denzel Ward in this game. Start Davis as a WR3 and hope he starts his third season with a bang.

TEN WR Corey Davis - 2019 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Corey Davis could be a guy primed for a breakout as he enters his third season, one that has been magical for many receivers. He's an unquestioned No. 1 target, as his team-best 112 targets from a year ago would suggest. And that number should only increase. Davis was the fifth pick in the draft three years ago, so the pedigree is there for a breakout year.

Fantasy Downside
Can Tennessee's offense be creative enough to get Davis 130 or more targets? And can Marcus Mariota pull out of his career nose dive to make Davis a fantasy stud? Those are things beyond Davis' control.

2019 Bottom Line
Davis was a solid No. 3 fantasy receiver last season, producing 65 catches for 891 yards and four scores. He should better all of those numbers in 2019. He had just four games with double-digit targets in 2018, but produced a pair of 100-yard games and had 28 combined catches in those four contests. But he also had six games with five or fewer targets. The Titans have to find a happy medium there and get him the ball more. His ADP is currently between Rounds 8 and 10, which puts him in WR4 conversation, but he could be much better than that. If he's your WR4, you're very happy.

TEN WR Corey Davis - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Indianapolis Colts

Corey Davis had three receptions for 45 yards last week, which has been right around the norm for him over the past month as the Titans have gone to a run-heavy offense. He also had just two receptions for 30 yards in the first meeting between these two teams earlier this season. At best, Davis is a WR3 play this week with the season on the line. The Tennessee passing game has just been too sporadic to trust.

TEN WR Corey Davis - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Washington Redskins

With the Titans going to a run-heavy attack, Corey Davis has been invisible the past few weeks, including catching just three passes for 33 yards last week. There really isn't a reason to expect that to change against a Washington team that will struggle to score in Tennessee. Davis has averaged just 4.8 targets in his past five games, making him a low-end WR3 play, even against a below average Redskins pass defense.
