Week 10 vs. Houston Texans
Cooper Kupp caught 3-of-5 targets for 54 yards in the Rams' Week 9 win over the Giants. Jared Goff did a great job spreading the ball around to wide open receivers, so none of the Rams' wideouts saw more than 5 targets. Kupp caught a 35-yard pass down the seam for his longest gain of the day. The touchdowns went to Todd Gurley and Robert Woods, but Kupp wasn't exactly a ghost as the Rams waxed a sleepy New York defense.
Kupp is ranked as our No. 30 WR for Week 10. He has a nice matchup against a Texans defense ranked 30th against fantasy receivers this season. If you need a receiver, you could do worse than Kupp. He's also a cheap DFS option in a great matchup.
Week 9 at New York Giants
Cooper Kupp caught 4-of-10 targets for 51 yards and 1 touchdown in the Rams' Week 7 win over the Cardinals. Jared Goff had a shaky day from an accuracy standpoint which derailed Kupp from posting a bigger stat line. Those 10 targets were a season-high for Kupp, who has posted two double-digit fantasy days in his last four games. The problem is that his production is sporadic and thus he's a mere dart throw every week.
Janoris Jenkins is out for the Giants this week but New York still ranks as fantasy's No. 9 defense against receivers. Ranked as our No. 37 WR for Week 9, avoid Kupp in your season-long leagues. He does have some appeal as a cheap DFS option, however.
Week 7 vs. Cardinals (game in London)
Cooper Kupp caught 2-of-3 targets for 35 yards in the Rams’ Week 6 win over the Jaguars. The Rams’ passing game was contained by Jacksonville’s excellent pass defense, as Jared Goff completed just 11 total passes on the afternoon. Kupp is still averaging 9.58 points per game in PPR leagues but that number is skewed by two games in which he racked up 17 points apiece. Otherwise, Kupp has been a volatile weekly play and is more a WR4 at this point than a reliable WR3. Ranked as our No. 35 WR for Week 7, avoid using Kupp against the Cardinals in London on Sunday.
Week 6 at Jacksonville Jaguars
Cooper Kupp caught 3-of-8 targets for 44 yards in the Rams’ Week 5 loss to the Seahawks. His fourth reception could have been the game-winner for the Rams, but Jared Goff’s pass glanced off Kupp’s hands as he made a diving attempt in the end zone. He got wide open on the play, but couldn’t haul it in as the Rams stalled a play later.
Kupp has averaged 6.56 points in standard leagues and 10.13 in PPR formats. He’s also out-targeted Sammy Watkins 29-20, but he’s nothing more than a weekly dart throw. Ranked as our WR48 for Week 6, view Kupp as a WR4/5.
Week 5 vs. Seattle Seahawks
Cooper Kupp caught 5-of-7 targets for 60 yards and a touchdown in the Rams' Week 4 win over the Cowboys. Kupp had a great second half and is quickly emerging as a reliable slot receiver in his first season. That said, his production has been inconsistent over the first four weeks. He draws an unfavorable matchup on Sunday when the Rams host a Seattle defense ranked as fantasy's No. 9 defense. Ranked as our WR41 for Week 5, view Kupp as a WR4/5.
Week 4 at Dallas Cowboys
Cooper Kupp caught 2-of-2 targets for 17 yards in the Rams’ Week 3 victory over the 49ers. He played 37-of-65 snaps, but he lost opportunities with Todd Gurley and Sammy Watkins stealing the show. That will be the problem with Kupp moving forward. When opponents successfully limit Gurley and take away Watkins, then he could thrive in the slot. If Gurley and Watkins are rolling, however, then Kupp’s opportunities will be limited. He makes for a volatile fantasy play.
Ranked as our WR54 for Week 4, avoid Kupp when the Rams visit the Cowboys on Sunday.
Week 3 at San Francisco
Cooper Kupp caught 3 of his 6 targets for 33 yards in the Rams' Week 2 loss to Washington. He helped set up Todd Gurley's goal-line touchdown with an excellent catch in the second quarter. That said, he was also the intended receiver on Jared Goff's game-ending interception with under two minutes remaining in the game. While his final stat line wasn't anything to write home about, Kupp is emerging as one of the better young slot receivers in the NFL.
The Rams visit the 49ers on Thursday night. San Francisco ranks as fantasy's No. 12 defense versus wide receivers. Kupp ranks as our WR44 for Week 3, so avoid using him in season-long leagues. That said, he could be a cheap dart throw in DFS leagues.
Week 2 vs. Washington
Cooper Kupp jumped onto the fantasy radar last week after catching 4 passes for 76 yards and a touchdown on 6 targets in the Rams' Week 1 victory over the Colts. His 76 yards were a game-high in a blowout victory for the Rams. Kupp caught an 18-yard touchdown pass from Jared Goff in the second quarter and then made a highlight-reel, 28-yard catch in the fourth. His NFL debut was a success, as he finished with 7.15 points in standard leagues and 11.01 in PPR formats.
Ranked as our WR42 in Week 2, Kupp is a dart throw option against Washington, who are ranked 15th against fantasy receivers. Still, he's worth rostering in PPR leagues.
