DAL WR Cole Beasley - Week 5, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs Bengals
With Dez Bryant still out, Cole Beasley will be the No. 1 target in the passing game. Last week in that role, he was targeted only four times, but did have three receptions for 66 yards. Beasley is a good receiver who will probably get more looks this week.

The Bengals are this week's opponent and are 13th in aFPA to wide receivers. Until Bryant returns, Beasley remains a viable fantasy option and could help you in Week 5. He rates a low-end WR3 or flex against Cincinnati.

DAL WR Cole Beasley - Week 4, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at San Francisco
Cole Beasley has been solid as the Cowboys No. 2 wide receiver. He has been targeted 25 times, which has produced 20 receptions for 213 yards. He is still looking for his first touchdown of the season and that might come sooner rather than later. With Dez Bryant out, Beasley should have more opportunities. Although saying he will be Dallas' No. 1 receiver is premature, as we will have to see where QB Dak Prescott looks while Bryant is out.

The Cowboys have a decent defensive matchup against San Francisco, who is 22nd in aFPA to wide receivers. On paper, Beasley looks like he could put up some decent numbers, but there are red flags. We don't know how Prescott will react to Bryant's absence, and the game is on the road. Those red flags say keep Beasley on the bench for Week 4 and see how this game develops for future usage.

DAL WR Cole Beasley - Week 5, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs New England
Cole Beasley had a decent game last week with six catches for 65 yards. He seems to be more comfortable with current starting QB Brandon Weeden. He still doesn't have a touchdown this season, but is getting snaps which obviously had created some positive numbers. He will face the New England pass defense that is 27th in aFPA to wide receivers, so they Cowboys passing game could have a good day. However, his numbers dictate for now to keep him on the bench as depth.

DAL WR Cole Beasley - Week 2, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs Philadelphia

Cole Beasley's stock went up with the injury of Dez Bryant. He will now be the No. 2 receiver behind Terrance Williams, but we would rather refer to him as 1A. Beasley had four catches for 49 yards (and he did lose a fumble).

Against the Eagles, we expect Beasley to be very much involved with a favorable matchup. He is a borderline WR3 for Week 2 (so it depends on who you have on your roster), but he should be effective enough to give you solid numbers if you have to play him.

DAL WR Cole Beasley - Week 19, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 19: Romo vs Packers

Cole Beasley was actually the most targeted Cowboys receiver last week against Detroit. The results weren't great, but he did get opportunities with the Lions double-teaming Dez Bryant. The fantasy play last week was Terrance Williams because he scored two touchdowns, but Beasley was definitely in the mix.

The Cowboys face the Packers this weekend who are 24th in aFPA to wide receivers. Bryant will probably have better results so the best we can expect from Beasley is what we saw last week with the exception that he might get one of Williams' touchdown throws his way. He is not a great play this week despite the favorable matchup although is probably still in the top 15 wide receivers playing this weekend.

DAL WR Cole Beasley - Week 18, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 18: Beasley vs Lions
Cole Beasley had a season-high in targets and catches in the season finale against Washington. It was an impressive second half of the season for the little-know receiver. He scored four touchdowns down the stretch and was very impressive in the slot.

He won't be overtaking Dez Bryant any time soon, but he is getting on the field enough to be considered for this weekend. Beasley isn't a top 10 receiver, but he is just on the outside looking in. He could help you as a WR3 or flex for Week 18.

DAL WR Cole Beasley - Week 17, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17: Beasley vs Redskins
Cole Beasley caught his fourth touchdown pass in the last five games, but the trend has been similar with only about three or four catches per game. Even with the good matchup against Washington, who is 27th in aFPA to wide receivers, Beasley doesn't see enough targets to warrant any fantasy action. Keep him on the bench against the 'Skins.

DAL WR Cole Beasley - Week 16, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16: Beasley vs Colts

Although Cole Beasley is still getting 3rd WR snaps, he is doing more with them and has moved up the fantasy rankings ahead of first half of the season stud Terrance Williams. Beasley is playing out of the slot on third downs and Tony Romo is finding him. He didn't get in the end zone last week like the previous, but the Cowboys like what they see.

With that said, he is still not getting the ball enough to warrant fantasy attention. He is still just a guy and should probably be on your waiver wire for the rest of the season.

Friday, December 19, 2014 - 1:17pm
DAL WR Cole Beasley - Week 15, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15: Beasley vs Eagles
Cole Beasley had only three catches, but two were for touchdowns, only his second and third of the season. It was lightning in a bottle for Beasley who was only the field for 11 plays. Not enough playing time to warrant a fantasy start. Keep him on the bench.

Friday, December 12, 2014 - 9:40am
DAL WR Cole Beasley - Week 3, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3: Beasley vs Rams
After four catches in Week 1, Cole Beasley was held to one catch in Week 2. Week 1 might be his ceiling. Don't expect much more. Keep him on the waiver wire.
