Week 11 at Atlanta
Coby Fleener's best game this season (9-83-1) came with Matt Hasselbeck as his quarterback, but that's no guarantee for success in the future. Overall, Fleener hasn't been consistent this season and is not a legit threat for fantasy purposes.
Week 9 vs. Denver
Coby Fleener had a big 7-43-1 performance last week. It was his second big game this season. In other games, you sometimes forget Fleener is even playing. He won't be a strong option this week as the Colts face Denver's lethal passing defense.
Week 8 at Carolina
Coby Fleener hasn't received much attention all season. He had one monster game with Matt Hasselbeck under center, but hasn't accomplished much outside of that. He's not a serious consideration in fantasy leagues.
Week 7 vs. New Orleans
Coby Fleener had one monster game this season, but outside of that, he's been pretty useless in terms of fantasy production. Until he starts doing more, don't consider him.
Week 6 vs. New England
Coby Fleener crashed back down to Earth in Week 5 with a two-catch nine-yard performance. After his blowout 9-83-1 stat line in Week 4, it's clear Fleener is a boom-or-bust option moving forward, with a strong lean towards bust. He's not really worth considering.
Week 5 vs. Houston
Coby Fleener exploded last week with nine receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown. His big game came with Matt Hasselbeck at quarterback, which is an important note. He hasn’t been as successful with Andrew Luck throwing passes, and Luck is expected to return in Week 5. Still, Fleener has been playing a lot of snaps lately with Dwayne Allen being inactive due to injury. He’ll be a low-end TE1 option this week.
Week 4 vs. Jacksonville
Coby Fleener finished with four receptions for 51 yards with Dwayne Allen out of the lineup in Week 3. It wasn't a bad showing for the Colts tight end, and he should be viewed as a low-end TE option in Week 4.
Week 2 vs. New York Jets
Coby Fleener had just one target in Week 1. Until we see a high volume of production, we don't see Fleener as a major threat.
Week 1 vs. Buffalo
Coby Fleener was a big part of Indianapolis offense a year ago, finishing with 51 receptions for 774 yards and eight touchdowns. The Colts have a few more weapons this year, however, so Fleener's contributions may diminish.
He'll also be facing a tough Bills defense in Week 1. Buffalo was No. 1 against tight ends in 2014, so it might be hard for Fleener to find success. He's not a strong play this week.
Coby Fleener - Week 20 vs. New England
Coby Fleener had a solid contribution last week. He caught three receptions for 49 yards. It's nothing Earth shattering, but it's at least something. And that's more than you can say for some of the other options available at tight end this week.
Fleener's not a great play, but he's better than most of what's available at the shallow position.
