Week 16 vs. Atlanta Falcons
Alvin Kamara rushed 12 times for 44 yards and caught 6-of-7 targets for 45 yards and a touchdown in the Saints' Week 15 win over the Jets. Kamara had a quiet first quarter, potentially making some fantasy owners nervous after he missed most of Week 15 with a concussion. That said, he got things going in the second quarter, producing a 12-yard gain that was followed by a 29-yard catch a few plays later. He finished off that drive with a 10-yard receiving score, and although the Saints' offense struggled in the second half, Kamara finished with a productive stat line.
Kamara will get another crack at the Falcons this Sunday when Atlanta travels to New Orleans. In the first meeting between these two teams just two weeks ago, Kamara was knocked out of the game with a concussion on the opening drive. Surprisingly, Atlanta ranks first against fantasy running backs this season but Kamara is a must-start. Ranked as our No. 3 RB for Week 16, keep him in your lineups.
Week 15 vs. New York Jets
Alvin Kamara exited the Saints' Week 14 loss to the Falcons with a concussion suffered on the first drive of the game. He took a helmet-to-helmet hit from linebacker Deion Jones and never returned to the game after walking off to the locker room. That said, Sean Payton expects Kamara to play in Week 15, so it's safe to keep him in your starting lineup when the Saints host the Jets. Kamara is our No. 2 ranked RB for Week 15 and a clear-cut RB1.
Week 14 at Atlanta Falcons
Alvin Kamara rushed 9 times for 60 yards and scored 2 touchdowns in the Saints' Week 13 win over the Panthers. He also added 5 receptions for 66 additional yards and was often unstoppable, just as he was a week prior versus the Rams. The rookie now has 9 touchdowns in eight games since Adrian Peterson was traded and is closing in on the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
The Saints will visit the Falcons on Thursday night, and despite Atlanta ranking sixth against fantasy running backs this season, Kamara is our No. 2 ranked RB for Week 14. Make sure he's in every lineup.
Week 13 vs. Carolina Panthers
Alvin Kamara caught 6-of-6 targets for 101 yards and a touchdown in the Saints' Week 12 loss to the Rams. He also caught 5 passes for 87 yards and another score as he was the best player on the field. Kamara continues to make his case for Offensive Rookie of the Year. He's been sensational and continues to be a reliable RB1 in fantasy, too.
The Saints have a difficult matchup on Sunday when they host the Panthers. But even though Carolina owns the No. 2 ranked defense against fantasy running backs this season, Kamara is our No. 3 ranked RB for Week 13. Get him in your lineup.
Week 12 at Los Angeles Rams
Alvin Kamara rushed 8 times for 42 yards in the Saints' Week 11 win over Washington and added 6 catches for 75 yards and a touchdown. He's now gone over 100 yards from scrimmage in three straight appearances and is averaging 113 yards from scrimmage in six games since the Saints traded Adrian Peterson to the Cardinals.
Locked in as a weekly RB1, Kamara has a great matchup on Sunday when the Saints visit the Rams. The Rams rank 29th against fantasy running backs this season. Kamara is our No. 5 ranked RB this week, so view him as a solid RB1 for Week 12.
Week 11 vs. Washington
Alvin Kamara rushed 12 times for 106 yards and a touchdown while also catching all 5 of his targets for 32 yards in the Saints' Week 10 win over the Bills. Kamara somewhat took a backseat to Mark Ingram early in the game but the rookie still made plays. His ability to turn small gains into big gains and/or touchdowns was once again on display as New Orleans dominated Buffalo from start to finish. The rookie has now scored 4 touchdowns in his last three games.
Kamara draws somewhat of a difficult matchup this Sunday when the Saints host a Washington team ranked eighth against fantasy running backs this season. That said, Kamara and the Saints' running game is too good to leave out of your lineup. Ranked as our No. 4 RB for Week 11, view Kamara is a legitimate RB1 this week.
Week 10 at Buffalo Bills
Alvin Kamara caught 6-of-7 targets for 84 yards and a touchdown while also rushing 10 times for 68 yards in the Saints’ Week 9 rout of the Bucs. Kamara lost a fumble in the second quarter but this was his best game of the season. He was electric on a 33-yard screen pass, which he turned into a touchdown. He also added a 6-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.
Kamara is on fire right now and is a must-start in PPR formats. Ranked as our No. 10 RB for Week 10, view Kamara as a low-end RB1. The Saints will visit a Bills defense ranked 23rd against fantasy running backs.
Week 9 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Alvin Kamara rushed 8 times for 28 yards and scored a touchdown in the Saints' Week 8 win over the Bears. The rookie also caught 3 passes for 48 yards in the victory.
Kamara saw 13 fewer touches than Mark Ingram, who continues to be the team's No. 1 back. That said, there is more than enough touches to go around in Sean Payton's offense, which is more balanced than it has been in previous years. Kamara continues to play a featured role for the red-hot Saints.
Kamara ranks as our No. 6 RB for Sunday and has a great matchup against a Bucs defense ranked 21st against fantasy running backs. With at least 70 total yards in four straight games, Kamara is an RB1 for Week 9.
Week 8 vs. Chicago Bears
Alvin Kamara rushed 9 times for 57 yards in the Saints' Week 7 win over the Packers, while also adding 5 catches for an additional 50 yards. Mark Ingram out-touched Kamara 26-14 and is the clear backfield choice for when the Saints want to run the clock. That said, Kamara is seeing plenty of touches to be a viable fantasy option moving forward. Ranked as our No. 9 RB for Week 8, view Kamara as aN RB1 for Sunday when the Saints host the Bears. The volume is there for the Saints' No. 2 back.
Week 7 at Green Bay Packers
Alvin Kamara rushed 10 times for 75 yards and caught 4 passes for 12 yards in the Saints’ Week 6 win over the Lions. Now that Adrian Peterson is in Arizona, the backfield roles for New Orleans are clearly defined. Mark Ingram remains the early-down and goal-line back, but the Saints are committed to both he and Kamara.
The rookie turned 29 touches into 193 yards and a touchdown in his last two games. Ranked as our No. 13 RB for Week 7, Kamara is a legit RB2 when the Saints travel to Green Bay on Sunday. The Packers rank as fantasy’s No. 18 defense against running backs so the matchup is a good one.
