TEN QB Will Levis - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Houston Texans
Will Levis is tentatively expected to return this week after suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 15. Ryan Tannehill was serviceable in his absence, but the biggest impact of Levis' return is the positive effect it should have on pass catchers like DeAndre Hopkins rather than his own fantasy prospects. Since throwing four touchdowns in his debut, Levis has thrown for multiple scores just once. That will not work well for fantasy when he also does not bring any rushing upside to the table. Levis gets a positive matchup this week against the weak Texans defense, but he is still nothing more than a mediocre QB2 at best for fantasy championship week.

TEN QB Will Levis - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Houston Texans
Will Levis only completed 48.5% of his passes in Week 14 and threw a brutal pick six early in the game, but he led two late scoring drives to get Tennessee the win over Miami. Levis has shown flashes of his potential this season, but he is still learning the position at the NFL level and operates a firmly run-first offense. Levis has only thrown three touchdowns in five starts since throwing four in his NFL debut in Week 8, and his season-high for yardage is 262 passing yards. Levis get a great matchup this week against the Texans' porous pass defense, but he is not guaranteed enough volume to ensure a viable fantasy outcome. Levis is a QB2 due to a favorable matchup, but you can likely do better in single-QB leagues.

TEN QB Will Levis - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Miami Dolphins
Will Levis turned in another rough performance in Week 13. He attempted 33 passes but only completed 48% of them for 224 yards and a single touchdown. Levis is being tasked with a game manager role as the Titans attempt to pound opponents with Derrick Henry and take occasional shots to DeAndre Hopkins downfield. That sort of offensive philosophy leaves a lot to be desired for a QB for fantasy purposes, and Levis hasn't sniffed QB1 numbers since his debut in Week 8. Levis will likely have to throw to keep up with Miami's high-powered offensive attack this week, but the massive drop-off in efficiency since his debut takes him out of starting consideration outside of two-QB or superflex formats.

TEN QB Will Levis - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Indianapolis Colts
Will Levis simply had to serve as a game manager in Week 12 with the Titans getting a win over the lowly Panthers. Levis only logged 28 pass attempts and managed 185 scoreless yards without throwing an interception. The Titans are always going to lean on the run game whenever possible, so Levis brings a very low floor to the table as a fantasy QB. The Titans host the Colts this weekend, and Indianapolis has been a neutral matchup for opposing QBs this year in fantasy. Levis has some interesting physical tools at his disposal and should continue to develop, but he cannot be considered anything more than a low-end QB2 for fantasy as a rookie playing in a run-first scheme.

TEN QB Will Levis - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Carolina Panthers
Will Levis had another subdued performance in Week 11 when he threw two touchdowns but only managed 158 passing yards on 17 attempts. The extremely low passing volume we saw in Week 11 will be a consistent risk for Levis as the Titans undoubtedly want to lean on the run as much as possible with the rookie under center. If you remove Levis' debut in Week 8, he has yet to finish any other week as anything better than a low-end QB2 for fantasy. His 13.9 fantasy points per game are not something you want to rely on as a starting option, and a matchup with a Panthers defense that is actually pretty tough on the pass only affirms that Levis is not someone to be started outside of the deepest fantasy formats.

TEN QB Will Levis - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Jacksonville Jaguars
Will Levis has come crashing down to Earth following an impressive debut performance in Week 8. Since tossing four touchdowns in that game, Levis has yet to find the end zone again and his yards per attempt has plummeted from 8.2 in his debut to 6.7 in Week 9, and now 5.1 in this past week's game. Levis has flashed some impressive physical tools, but it's safe to say he is going through the typical rookie struggles under center. This week, Levis will duel with a Jacksonville defense that has been good overall this season but is more vulnerable against the pass than the run. It appears that the Titans want to see what they have in Levis so he remains locked into the starting role, but he is not a strong fantasy option for now.

TEN QB Will Levis - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Will Levis came back to earth last week in a loss to the Steelers after throwing four touchdown passes in his debut against the Falcons in Week 8. The real Levis is probably somewhere in between the two performances. Despite zero touchdowns and a pick in the Pittsburgh loss, Levis looked pretty solid. He finished with 262 passing yards and hung in the pocket despite getting sacked four times. It looked like a veteran defense taking advantage of a rookie’s second start.

This week, Levis faces a vulnerable Tampa Bay defense that ranks 24th in aFPA to opposing quarterbacks this season. The Buccaneers also just got absolutely torched by C.J. Stroud and the Texans in what could’ve been the best game of the season. Don’t expect four touchdown passes or the production we saw from Stroud last week, but look for a rebound performance that puts Levis in solid streaming territory. We have him ranked as a quality QB2 option this week.
