KC TE Travis Kelce - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Travis Kelce fell short of projections last week, catching five passes for 44 yards on seven targets. Kelce seemed off in Week 16 as he had a few bobbled passes as well as a moment where he threw his helmet to the ground in frustration. Kelce hasn't been quite as dominant lately, finishing below 50 yards in four of his last seven games, with just one touchdown in that span as well. Still, the 50-yard threshold we set is still a high bar for most TEs these days. Kelce will remain a must-start option at TE in Week 17 in a favorable matchup vs. the Bengals (31st aFPA).

KC TE Travis Kelce - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Bill Belichick found a way to shut Travis Kelce down last week as the Chiefs tight end finished with five receptions for 28 yards. Before last week, Kelce had three straight games with 80+ receiving yards, so owners who survived Kelce's dud can likely rely on him in Week 16. Expect Kelce to bounce back vs. the Raiders (5th aFPA) even though it's a tough matchup. When Kelce faced Las Vegas just a few weeks ago he finished 6-91. He's a must-start TE1 in Week 16.

KC TE Travis Kelce - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at New England Patriots

Travis Kelce was tied with Rashee Rice for the team lead in targets last week, finishing with 10. He turned those targets into production with a solid stat line of 6-83. Kelce has finished with at least 80 yards in three straight games after he he a slight slump with his yardage production. Kelce hasn't been as strong of a redzone threat lately, catching one touchdown in his last six games. But Kelce routinely gets plenty of targets, and has the highest ceiling of any tight end right now. He doesn't get a great matchup this week against the Patriots (12th aFPA), but he's still a must-start option at TE.

KC TE Travis Kelce - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Buffalo Bills

Travis Kelce had a solid outing last week, finishing 4-81 on five targets. It's just the second time this season Kelce has finished with less than seven targets, and both times have happened in his last four games. Still, 80+ yards from Kelce is more than enough. Kelce remains one of the highest-producing players at his position, and he'll continue to be a strong start in Week 14 against the Bills (26th aFPA). Kelce played well against Buffalo last season with a 8-108 performance. Kelce should be viewed as a must-start option at TE this week.

KC TE Travis Kelce - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Green Bay Packers

Travis Kelce had another strong outing last week, finishing 6-91 on seven targets. Kelce has had a few more dud games this season than usual, but he's still averaging 7.0-73.2 with touchdowns in half of his games. He consistently gets a ton of looks each week, and should continue to produce at a high level moving forward. He'll be a must-start TE1 against the Packers (19th aFPA) in Week 13.

KC TE Travis Kelce - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Las Vegas Raiders

Travis Kelce bounced back with a solid game last week, finishing 7-44-1 on nine targets. Although he also lost a fumble in the game. Kelce's yardage totals have taken a bit of a hit in recent weeks as he's finished with 58 yards, 14 yards and 44 yards in the past three games. Teams realize they can double cover Kelce considering the rest of the Chiefs' options will likely end up dropping the ball. Despite that, Kelce still finds a way to get open and he's the highest-scoring tight end based on per-game averages in half-PPR. He's an easy must-start option at TE in Week 12 vs. the Raiders (13th aFPA).

KC TE Travis Kelce - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Travis Kelce put up his worst game of the season the last time the Chiefs played in Week 9 as he finished with three catches for 14 yards on four targets. Every major category was a season low for Kelce who simply just had a bad game. Kelce should get back on track this week as he faces the Eagles (and his brother, Jason). The Eagles are 26th in aFPA to TEs, and have given up five touchdowns to the position, which is tied for 2nd-most in the league. Plus, Kelce statistically performs better when Taylor Swift is in the stands, and she's expected to attend for this huge matchup. Kelce should be viewed as a must-start option at TE in Week 11.
